INDIANAPOLIS - One child was pronounced dead after a fire in Rush County, according to the Rush County Sheriff's Office.
Officers were dispatched on Thursday at approximately 2 p.m. on a report of a house fire located in the 2000 block of North County Rd. 700 W in Arlington.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a home fully engulfed in flames and learned that a small child was inside.
The child was pronounced dead at the scene by the Rush County Coroner's Office.
The identity of the child was not released to the public.
