Best of the week; heating up soon

A great start underway this morning, under clear skies and cooler temperatures. The passage of a cold front last night has punched in drier air (lower dew points) and more stable conditions. Expect temperatures at sunrise hovering in the middle 50s, in downtown, and bright sunshine.

This afternoon will be the best of the week with lots of sunshine, a nice, steady breeze and low humidity. Highs this afternoon will reach the upper 70s! A great night ahead, too, as the Indianapolis Indians return to Victory Field.

The rest of the workweek brings a jump in temperatures with 80° warmth from Wednesday through Friday. Along with the heat building, a steady climb in dew points on Thursday/Friday will make things more uncomfortable...creating a much hotter feel!

Our next rain and storm chances return for the weekend, both days, making for many hours of unsettled weather for outdoor plans. Be sure to check with more updates, as we get closer to what will be a very busy weekend downtown.
