For the longest, Leela James has been bubbling under the pop charts without the major hit that she deserves.
She has done albums that have been hailed as great, but without the major sales that she deserves. A voice that sounds like a gospel singer full with soul. She has recorded songs by Al Green ("Simply Beautiful"), Bobby Womack ("Baby I'm Scared Of You") and Sam Cooke ("A Change Is Gonna Come"). Even a tribute album to the greats like James Brown" It's a man's world" and every other great singer.
Her latest endeavor is just as good as all her earlier works.
In this video I sit down with her and find out what she's up to.
