On October 20, we talked about the 2013 Nominees for the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame.
Two legendary hip-hop groups were nominated and we asked if you could only vote for one, who would it be?... N.W.A. or Public Enemy

On October 13, Big Dee ran most of the show so you know it was old school rapper's delight! Gerald and Big Dee argued about who was the greatest MC to ever grab a mic. Big Dee thinks it's Rakim, but Gerald strongly disagrees. Check for this discussion around 20 mins into the show.
The BET Hip-Hop Awards were taped that weekend so we discussed the taping.

On October 6, Gerald ran the Cartersville 10k with the Atlanta Track Club right after the radio show. The entire first hour was up-tempo because Gerald listens to show during the race.
He also talked about the colossal failure of the Atlanta Braves when they lost in the one-game MLB playoff.

On September 22, Gerald ran a 5 Mile race with the Atlanta Track Club right after the show. This came on the heels of Gerald running a 10k the previous Sunday. He talked about both races during the show and encouraged everyone to get active.
Gerald also talked about the beef that Roscoe Dash had with Kanye West and the story where the lady unknowingly married her father...NASTY!

On September 15, Gerald and Big Dee hosted The Remix. Gerald played music for the first 2 hours. Then, Big Dee took over with the old school for the last hour.
During the show, they talked about everything from the ridiculous halftime promotion by Miami Dolphins to the "punkification" of the NBA. Big Dee also wasn't feeling Ice Cube's theme song for the Oakland Raiders.
Lastly, R.I.P to longtime WRFG airshifter and volunteer Adam Sharipo. He passed away on Friday, September 14. Adam was the host of Thursday's Progressive News Hour ("Current Events") and served on the WRFG Board for many years. He was active in a number of political movements and frequently reported "live" from local events.

On September 1, Gerald unveiled his big birthday plans.... Skydiving! Gerald was supposed to jump on his birthday, August 30, but Skydive Georgia cancelled it because of bad weather.
The jump was rescheduled for Saturday morning (Sept 1). Gerald talked about getting ready for the experience and of course he played some of the hottest music out!
