Brand new video from the Compton kid Kendrick Lamar for one of my personal favorite songs off of his critically acclaimed "good kid, m.A.A.d city" album. This special director's cut edition of "B*tch, Don't Kill My Vibe" shot by The Lil Homies & OG Mike Mihail finds comedian Mike Epps making an appearance although the visuals are not entirely submerged within a comedic space artistically. The clip is beautifully cinematic from a visual perspective & does contain a few messages to decipher unless you don't pay attention or just so happen to blink too soon.
Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane is catching some flack this week as movie director Harmony Korine has spilled juicy details on the hip-hop star passing out during his Spring Breakers sex scene.
According to Korine, he quickly realized the 4 A.M. love scene was more than he bargained for on the last day of filming.
This scene, thought Korine, would be a piece of cake; after all, Korine had gone to great lengths to cast a love interest with a booty grand enough to pique Gucci Mane's interest: "They sent me a clip of this girl walking across the room with three or four Coke cans on her ass, and we cast her, based on that video," Korine told Vulture. Alas, there was one thing Korine hadn't counted on: how super fucking stoned Gucci would be by the time cameras began to roll. "In his entourage, everybody smokes weed from the beginning of the day to the end," explained Korine. "So we're inside this house in St. Petersburg, and the f*cking weed smoke was so insane and Gucci was basically catatonic. I was like, 'Gucci, you've got to have sex with this chick now!'" How did he receive the news? "He wanted her to ride him so he wouldn't have to do any physical labor." (Vulture) The filmmaker revealed he realized Gucci was snoring while the steamy scene was being shot.
For a while, that worked. "So we're shooting the sequence, and as he is getting f*cked, I start to hear snores," said Korine. "He had literally passed out! And she was riding his d*ck the whole time. I'd never in my life filmed a sex scene where the dude was sleeping ... and she was on top of him for a good 45 minutes." And yes, that's the take that made it into the film. Laughed Korine: "At the end, he woke up and was like, 'I feel real nice. I feel like Mozart's on my d*ck.' And that was it, and he went back to sleep." (Vulture
Paterson, New Jersey resident Aswad Ayinde, the man behind the video for The Fugees hit "Killin' Them Softly," is facing two counts of aggravated sexual assault, after reportedly getting three of his five daughters pregnant.
Beverly Ayinde, the ex-wife of Aswad was shocked when she learned her 12-year-old daughter was pregnant. But of course, she was even more shocked when Aswad admitted that he might be the father.
"He said, 'She could be pregnant from me,'" said Beverly. "My heart started racing."
Ayinde reported believed he was a prophet, and desired to start his own "blueblood" race.
According to Beverly's testimony in court, Ayinde described performing oral sex on his 8-year-old, and described it in a very "godly, spiritual way."
Beverly came to the United States from England in the 70s, and married Aswad in 1976. Despite being impressed with his knowledge of African history, Beverly was slightly disturbed by his avoidance of doctors. The family lived in seclusion from the mainstream world, and were allegedly beaten regularly by Aswad.
His most recent trial, in which he was sentenced to 40 years, is only the second of five trials he's facing. If convicted on the other charges, he will do over 100 years in prison.
I am sure I as well as countless other Program Directors, DJs and radio stations have run into the same issues concerning how music is submitted to be aired. While there may be some variations depending on who you submit your music to, most will tell you to make sure your music files are properly labeled.
Often times I receive emails from artists wanting their music played on NeX Radio and the email containing the music file is full of information about the artist, their links to where they can be found online, and even a contact number to call them if needed. The main detail that is missing...the labeling of the music file.
Once the song you sent via email is downloaded from the email, all the information you took your time typing into the email is separated from the song file and therefore, if your file is not properly labeled, all information as to who the song belongs to is lost. Example: if you attache your song to the email and it shows up as 'Track 5', no matter how much you described the song in the email, 'Track 5' means nothing to the PD after it has been downloaded from the email.
I have had to trash several songs based on improper labeling alone. Doesn't matter how hot the song is, if it's not properly labeled, I will not take the time to label it. Why? Imagine I get approximately 50 songs a day (no exaggeration). Now imagine of those 50 songs, 35 are labeled 'Track 5' or by the song name only. Neither I nor any PD will take time to label your music if you were too lazy or uninformed to do it yourself. Afterall, you are the one requesting that we play your song, correct? The least you can do is make sure everything you send is properly labeled.
Properly labeling, at least for NeX Radio standards, is making sure your song file includes: Artist Name - Song Title (Radio or Explicit)
To rename your song file so it matches proper NeX Radio labeling, here are some quick video tutorials:
The next step in ensuring your music files are ready to be aired on NeX Radio is making sure your files are tagged.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that you have the SONG NAME, ARTIST, ALBUM, YEAR and GENRE tags filled in for each song as these are required for several reasons and one most important one is this is required for the platform NeX Radio uses to air your songs and for other DJs to know all the information about your song. A FREE program to tag your song can be downloaded HERE
Next, your song file needs to be uploaded at the proper bitrate. The current maximum file size of a song is 12Mb and only in MP3 format . As we only stream at 320Kbps, the songs should be converted to this Bitrate and then the file size will be under the 12Mb for 98% of all songs. A FREE program to recode can be downloaded HERE
After all steps have been completed, your song is now ready to be submitted to not only NeX Radio, but most radio stations or DJs. They will appreciate the time you took to properly label your files before sending.
As a courtesy, you should ask each station or DJ you desire to submit your music to, what their submission requirements are.
To submit your song to NeX Radio, email to nexradiomp3@gmail.co
Yeah man! Can you imagine? In the above clip, grindhouse movie guru Quentin Tarantino actually thought about producing a Luke Cage (one of Marvel Comics' first Black super-heroes) movie... or something like it. Tarantino is a comic enthusiast, too. So, you know it would have been raw!
"After 'Reservoir Dogs,' I had considered doing a Luke Cage, Hero for Hire movie. [Hollywood producer] Ed Pressman owned the rights at that time, and we talked about it," Tarantino said. "I talked to Larry Fish [Laurence Fishburne] about being Luke Cage, and he really liked that idea. Then I ended up writing Pulp Fiction."
- Tarantino to MTV News
Well... you never know. In the meantime, "Django Unchained" - Tarantino's newest movie (due out Christmas Day) - should be good.
Snoop a.k.a. "Nemo Hoes" keeps his GGN News Network going strong with the special guests & this time he's interviewing Wu-Tang Clan frontman/ Hollywood actor & now director The RZA about his new movie 'The Man With The Iron Fists' that opens in theaters this Friday November 2nd. RZA & Snoop pass each other 'The Greenery" while RZA speaks on just how much he had to invest in terms of time & money just to get himself prepared for this movie & also provided a few behind the scenes stories in the making of the film. Not only does the movie feature several quality actors, but it does appear to be visually stunning. Looking forward to it this weekend.
