Late emcee famous for dissing Compton might not be dead at all

Two of hip-hop's most notorious emcees performing from beyond the grave

Timothy Blair better known to the world as rapper Tim Dog became famous at the height of the East Coast/West Coast rivalry for his dis record 'Fuck Compton'. Blair was reported to have died from complications of diabetes
back in February, but a woman in Mississippi is claiming that he faked his own death to get away with a scam to swindle her and at least 20 others out of $2 million dollars. Dateline NBC did a story on Tim Dog and the scam
allegations last summer after a Mississippi judge ordered him to pay restitution in the amount of $19,000 and a Memphis television station launched their own investigation recently and were unable to discover a death certificate for Tim Dog, which adds more legitimacy to the suspicions.

The world famous Rock The Bells music festival is gearing up for its 10th anniversary kick off on September 7th in San Bernardino, CA. The official line up has been announced and just as in year's past, it features some of
the best of the new and old school. On the bill: Wu-Tang Clan, Common, Immortal Technique, Talib Kweli, TechN9ne,Rakim, Dilated Peoples, Too Short, E-40, Eazy-E and Ol' Dirty Bastard. Oh yeah, you heard right, Eazy-E and O.D.B. will both be appearing in 'original virtual performances.' You can get the entire line-up below and show dates at rockthebells.net.

Where are they now? Right where they've always been. In the studio making hits. Several of hip-hop's elite emcees are hard at work giving you music to move to. Havoc and Prodigy of Mobb Deep have reunited to push out a
new album, but in the meantime, Prodigy has dropped a cut off of his collaboration album with legendary producer Alchemist. The cut is called 'Dough Pildin.' Wu-Tang Clan member Raekwon the Chef just dropped a new cut with esteemed vocalist Estelle from the Funkmaster Flex project called 'All About You,' and Raekwon has been sighted in studio sessions with Brooklyn king Jay-Z clearly working on new projects. Finally, we get our first taste of the new Wu album with the release of their new joint 'Execution in Autumn.' You can hear all these songs below or by visiting our facebook page.

Raekwon - "All About You" feat. Estelle (Prod. By Jerry Wonda)

This one would be perfect for commercial radio... Oh wait, I think he got in a muthaf--r and 'ninja' within the first 10 seconds (no radio play for Rae on this one). Hahaa! Chef don't sell out for radio play. Though with Estelle adding a li'l sexy over the Jerry Wonda track, the Wu-Tang sword style of Raekwon's delivery on "All About You" is softened just enough to reach a 'broader' audience. Nah eff that. This banger still goes hard!

This single is yet another hot rock off the FREE Funkmaster Flex's "Who You Mad At? Me Or Yourself?" mixtape (which you can get from a link in an earlier post here).

ESTELLE On The Cover Of Vibe Vixen

Estelle wasn't always this confident. Picture a spindly teenager with protruding boobs and a booty most women (and men) would slaughter for. "I always thought I was too skinny. And then I started getting boobs and I stayed skinny. I got a butt and I stayed skinny. And then I could fit all the couture clothes and I stayed skinny. It was great!" She chuckles. "Growing up skinny, you get called a rake, a mop. It's as much as the chubby girls. I got some shape and I was like, Okay I'll rock out with it."

Curvy and well fed nowadays (thanks to her wildly successful 2008 stateside debut, Shine, and mentor John Legend), the U.K. import once teased for her crooked teeth exudes coolness and certainty. Her heartbreak-laden yet cheery LP All Of Me depicts a chick who's grown balls, both through other's mistakes (see: the Akon-penned anthem "Thank You") and her own.

Tonight, we're face to face in an Atlantic Records conference room in New York; it's the stock record-label backdrop for promo-hungry artists. Chic and petite, Estelle's sporting a designer hodgepodge-camel-colored cropped leather coat, Helmut Lang pants, black Top Shop tee and Chanel boots, accessorized with a Tory Burch belt, Hermes bracelet and vintage turquoise ring. She's trying to pinpoint her top three white boy crushes. "Ryan Gosling, Ryan Gosling and Ryan Gosling," she jokes. When her little sis suggests Maroon 5's Adam Levine, a smiling Estelle silently rejects. They dissolve into laughter. Doting on her most introspective album to date, Vixen takes an icepick to the cocoa-skinned singer-MC's brain about music, love, the best of times and the worst. - Clover Hope
