Hey There, Worshipreneur! ? Ever wonder why haters exist in our life? I mean, all of us have them and encounter at the points in our life when we need support the most (ever notice that?).
Today marks the first of the #wedintheword series here on TamikaHall.com and we're looking at the life of Joseph Genesis 37-40. As a quick recap, we know that Joseph was a dreamer, he was favored by his father and received a coat of many colors. Out of jealousy, his brothers (haters) sold him into slavery in Egypt. We know the end of the story, God was with Joseph and he ended up in high position and blessing the very people who hated him.
Modern Hollywood is overwhelmingly in the business of turning popular things into big-budget movies on the strength of their name recognition – be they comic books, video games, toys or even text-message graphics. And while most such properties have a fanbase of one form or another that frequently becomes protective when the movie biz comes calling, when the subject is remakes of other films (i.e. “remakes” rather than adaptations) such fan outrage often becomes downright hostile.
As it appears on his new mixtape, Born Flexin, "Haters" stands out as one of the more cinematic-sounding tracks from the Beantown spitter, Born and producer, CMBEATS. And it's clear that cinematographer Luis Gomez noticed that, as his vision for the single resembles something more akin to a proper short film that your typical music video. Part of the reason for that is the video's setting, as Born headed down to the Dominican Republic to link with Gomez, and his supporting cast of homegrown beauties, and locals stuntin' in the streets. All the while, it's clear that Born is the man in charge, eyeing the camera with a snarl, and flashes of his grill in between his trademark dreadlocks. Head over to Dat Piff to stream/download, Born Flexin.
OTF rapper Lil Durk continues to grind and feed the streets with new heat almost everyday. Fresh off his latest mixtape "300 Days 300 Nights," the Chicago native serves up a previously unreleased track "Ain't Did Shit For Me." No word on when the song was recorded.
Lil Mama is back and in boss mode with her new video "Memes". Hugging the pocket of Notorious B.I.G. and DJ Premier's "Kick In The Door" she asserts "You get exposed if you thinking your going to kill me with Memes". Cop her latest effort Take Me Back now @ www.iamlilmama.com.
Damn the trolls got J.K. Rowling and King Chamillionaire in an dynamic duo situation! The Harry Potter author got into an argument about Scottish independence last night and she decided to draw upon her mental Hip-Hop archives to fight back. And she ended up using Chamiionaire's hit "Ridin' Dirty." BOOM. And that BS gets shut down fast.
(AllHipHop News) Although many feel that Beyoncé slayed her performance for Super Bowl 50's halftime show, there is one anonymous organizer who is protesting against the Queen Bey. Scheduled for February 16th, the event is set to gather outside of NFL headquarters in New York City.
The event's description asks "Are you offended as an American that Beyoncé pulled her race-baiting stunt at the Superbowl? Do you agree that it was a slap in the face to law enforcement? Do you agree that the Black Panthers was/is a hate group which should not be glorified? Come and let's stand together. Let's tell the NFL we don't want hate speech & racism at the Superbowl ever again!"
Earlier this week, former NYC mayor Rudy Giuliani expressed sentiments parallel to those on the event page, mentioning that the performance was an attack on law enforcement. "What we should be doing in the African-American community, and all communities, is build up respect for police officers," Giuliani said. "And focus on the fact that when something does go wrong, okay. We'll work on that. But the vast majority of police officers risk their lives to keep us safe....let's have decent, wholesome entertainment."
Next year's Super Bowl 51 is scheduled to take place in Houston, Texas, humble birthplace of Beyoncé herself. And it will be hard to properly honor all the great things out of Texas without including the Houston Queen.
Although Lil' Kim will forever be the Queen bee, she will unfortunately always be ridiculed for her appearance resulting from many surgeries over the years. People never let Kim catch a break; most, generally point out the noticeable difference in Kim's face. This time social media was cruel once again as a photoshopped photo spread quickly. The photo seemed to be stretched to make Kim appear to be bigger. Kim clapped back by tweeting a side by side of the fake photo and the original with the caption,
"Really? The hate is real."
She also tweeted,
"You bloggers should be ashamed of yourself for promoting this foolishness knowing that this is SO fake just like all of you haters. ???????? But I got a good idea where this is coming from. What's in the dark always comes into the light. Carry on.Since you guys love my behind sooo much, here it is kiss it!!!"
Kim is not here for the hate. They won't let Kimmy catch a break.
For all you Lebron haters, it's okay, we got you too! But seriously, how long have you hated King James...since the leg cramp? last championship? Don't jump on the 'hate wagon' now. Y'all hater-come-latelys got this dude bitter!
