I was one of the earliest supporters of B.O.B. in Atlanta & actively promoted him & his talent to anyone who would listen. I'm still a supporter but this interview on Hot 97 brings up a serious issue amongst radio DJs that I can immediately identify with. I've been in radio for 20 years & have interviewed many artists who have stopped by my radio show but most of the time when those artists get larger they never come back or send a thank you unless their careers are falling off & they are trying to reconnect with their original fans & supporters.
I never felt like B.O.B. was only reaching for a pop audience but I can understand 1000% what HOT 97′s program director Ebro is talking about because it happens all the time to me on the radio station I'm on.
The GooDie MO is Back! Evidence: This potent track loaded with lyrics that matter and a challenge to today's artists (and us all): Be special! With Janelle Monae on the hook, this is GooDie MOB with "Special Education."
Recognize a King when he's in your presence. These lyrics are incredible. The soliloquy at the end... powerful! A must listen. This is King Mez with "Exordium" (produced By Rico Beats). An introduction for some; another great piece of work to others who know this emcee.

Hilarious spoof group The Lonely Island got that "Diaper Money" (and that wife p*ssy... and that grave plot) cause they're grown ass men! Definitely a different look at bling - for the stereotypical middle-class suburbanite. The Lonely Island has an entire LP of stuff like this coming out June 11, 2013. You can pre-order now.
New visuals for Action Bronson. His latest single "Strictly 4 My Jeeps" features a jeep beat as you would expect (nice flip on that Cypress Hill "How I Could Just Kill a Man" by producer Harry Fraud). As for the video, there is a jeep as expected... but for the vid, expect the unexpected! You just have to watch. Outrageous... but fun! Great work by director Jason Goldwatch.
"How we gettin' broker and they boost the price of living?" Trust that that is only a taste of the depth of B.o.B's rhyming on this "Through My Head." Political commentary put to a haunting track. Visuals that take our posts on future tech, flying surveillance drones, and patrolling robots to apocalyptic extremes right from the start. Watching this video movie is mind-blowing! This video movie was produced by Ricardo de Montreuil and Eliz Eskeranli. The new B.o.B LP - "Underground Luxury" - is coming soon.
Eye candy. That's what this sparkly video for Kurupt's "Caviar & Champagne" (featuring Dr. Zodiak and King Lil G). If you like good bud, there's eye candy. Love the female form (good 'bod'), then there's eye candy! Oh, and the music is good, too.
L.A. native Nipsey Hussle is coming with his "TM3: Victory Lap" mixtape soon, followed by his LP "iHussle." But for now, we will have to deal with this Nipsey x 9th Wonder collabo "Face the World." Which isn't a bad deal.
UK radio personality Lily Mercer welcomes Detroit Hip-Hop trio Slum Village to speak on the battle rap scene in the 'Motor City,' some memorable moments of the late D-12 emcee Proof, and more.
J. Keys spazzes, dropping a calculated lyrical rant that just happens to make a lot of sense. Keys pokes fun at those that often seek to put a label on his music. Fueled by the high powered Eddie Kendricks sample via Kariem Riggins, lyrically Keys delivers as always promising KeymoTherapy is on the way.
Be on the look out for the forthcoming "KeymoTherapy" Mixtape from J. Keys
"Revolution Cocktail" is due out July 2, 2013. As part of the build-up, REKS drops "Flags" - his politically charged rant. Produced by Numonics. Get your FREE download here...
By the way, good question from REKS: 'How come the cops that shot Diallo were never arraigned?'
