According to TMZ.com Nas has agreed to pay tens-of-thousands of dollars in back mortgage payments for the house his ex-wife Kelis lives in.

Nas owes $52,989.22 in monthly mortgage payments and has agreed to pay $17,500 initially and then double the payments of $7,800 each month until the mortgage becomes current.

There is no word on when Nas will pay his ex-wife the $300,000 in spousal support he owes.

The divorce proceedings between rapper Nas and his estranged wife, singer Kelis have been going back and forth for awhile now.

Earlier this week, Nas told a judge that he couldn't afford to pay Kelis the child and spousal support ordered by the court. The court also ordered that Nas pay more than $87,000 in back spousal and child support. Not to mention, he has to pay Kelis $10,000 a month in spousal support.

According to TMZ, Nas makes about $152,031 a month, but the rapper says he makes "substantially less than that amount" and wants the judge to view his financial books

According to TMZ.com, a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge ordered Nas to pay Kelis $47,249.42 in back child support, $40,454 in back spousal support and 90% of her legal bills in the amount of $155,787.28.

Additionally, Nas was ordered to pay $10,000 a month towards the $299,015 the rapper owes his former wife in spousal support.

Also, the judge ruled that the rapper must pay $48,549.83 Kelis' accounting expenses.

FYI, "Acapella" by Kelis is one of the top techno tracks right now! Not feeling the blonde mullet.

On February 19th Nas entered a plea of not guilty to a contempt filing from ex-wife Kelis alleging that he owes over $200,000 in child and spousal support.

Kelis filed for divorce in April 2009 while pregnant with their son, citing irreconcilable differences. The child, named Knight, was born in July, with Nas being refused entry into the delivery room due to intoxication.

In December 2009, Kelis was awarded roughly $50,000 per month in spousal and child support based on Nas' reported annual gross income of $4 million, and her dependence on him for financial stability.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David S. Cunningham III said, "It's starting to look like the rapper is trying to evade court orders" as he scheduled the contempt hearing for March 10th. If found guilty Nas will face jail time.

In related news Nas' album with Damian Marley is planned to be released on April 6th.

On Wednesday (December 10th) Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Cunningham III ordered rapper Nas to increase his monthly child- and spousal-support payments to estranged wife Kelis and their infant son, Knight, to $51,101, for a total of more than $600,000 a year.

Cunningham determined Nas made enough money in recent months to pay additional support. Mark Vincent Kaplan, said the judge made the right decision and that despite the payment bump, Nas came out ahead in the decision because he will no longer have to pay the expenses on the former couple's Los Angeles residence.

TMZ reported that Kelis said that the couple attempted to reconcile in September to no avail during Wednesday's court hearing. She told the court that Nas is slated to release two albums in 2010.
