 Beyonce at American Music Awards  Salma Hayek Alright, so last week was an epic bitch in more ways than I wish to recall. Therefore, this week is all about escapism.
Instead of harping on genocide in Sri Lanka, bullied 11-year-olds committing suicide or Alan Keyes getting his stupid ass arrested in South Bend, I'm gonna write about a recurring conversation topic from the past month: The attractiveness of women in Hollywood and the music industry.
These are completely random musings, and if such superficial and "objectifying" words offend you, perhaps the material at Disney.go.com would be more suited to your sensibilities. Just miss me with the complaints, mkay?

Angelina Jolie is entirely overrated. Yes, she is sexy. Yes, those lips are Hoover vacuum-esque. But behind that sultriness and bad girl intrigue is a slightly above-average-looking lady. Angelina would not turn my head on the street, even if she looked as good as she did in Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I feel exactly the same way about Scarlett Johansson; while neither woman would get kicked out of bed, the mold wasn't broken with either of them.
Salma Hayek's dance scene in From Dusk Till Dawn portrays the finest-sculpted female frame I've seen in my 27 years of life. I still fall into a hypnotic trance every time I see that scene, 13 years after I went slack-jawed stupid viewing it in the movie theater. Salma is 42 years old with a young daughter and still has 99 percent of Hollywood women trumped.
It's pretty amazing how several of my childhood television crushes have actually gotten better looking with age. See: Lark Voorhies from Saved by the Bell, Alyssa Milano from Who's the Boss and Rudy from The Cosby Show. I won't bother to type out her real name...she's just plain Rudy.
Holding down the MILF category: Stacey Dash, Teri Hatcher and ol' girl that plays Dr. Cuddy on House.
Hollywood needs more women who look like Kerry Washington and Sanaa Lathan. Natch.
No amount of makeup, airbrushing or exercise can make Keyshia Cole, Ciara or Brandy truly attractive. On that note, can any amount of money or time spent on lessons make any of them talented?
