GRAMMY AWARD WINNER CRYSTAL NICOLE TO JUDGE ATLANTA THE X FACTOR AUDITIONS

Singer/songwriter partners with The X Factor, Fox 5, V-103 and Hard Rock Café to select top vocalist of hit reality singing competition show

ATLANTA- Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Crystal Nicole is joining forces with The X Factor, Fox 5, V-103 and Hard Rock Café to judge the Saturday, April 20, 2013 Atlanta preliminary auditions of the hit talent competition show, The X Factor. Auditions will take place from 10:00am-3:00pm at the Hard Rock Café, 215 Peachtree St. N.E., Atlanta, GA.

"I'm honored to be a part of the judging team for The X Factor auditions in Atlanta", says Crystal Nicole. "I look forward to the great talent coming out, because we know Atlanta is full of musical talent. It's a great feeling to be able to help someone else take those first steps in making their dreams come true and I'm glad to be a part of it."

On Saturday, 150 contestants will have the opportunity of a lifetime to skip the lines and appear before Crystal Nicole, Warner Bros. Records Southeast regional promotional manager Yancey Richardson and Konvict hip-hop artist Everett Blewz to perform live and impress them with their voices. The judges will be scouting for contestants that possess the best voices, have a captivating performance and the greatest overall entertainment. From there, the judges will select four (4) lucky finalists and send them off to Denver, CO to audition for The X Factor producers in hopes of making it onto the forthcoming season and winning The X Factor competition. The X Factor will return to Fox 5 this coming fall.

Crystal Nicole has become one of the most in-demand songwriters in the music industry within the last five years. Penning hit records for Rihanna (Only Girl in the World), Monica (Love All over Me), Mary J. Blige (25/8), Bridget Kelly (Special Delivery) and many more, Crystal Nicole has impressed many with her songwriting skills which has resulted in her numerous accolades and awards including a Grammy for "Only Girl in World". In a bizarre turn of events, British superstar singer Leona Lewis was attacked yesterday during a book signing at a London bookstore. The 24-year old singer had been signing copies of her new autobiography, which is entitled 'Dreams', for about 90 minutes when the unprovoked incident occured. She was reportedly left "badly shaken" and bruised by the attack, in which a man punched her "to the side of her head" for no apparent reason whilst she signed his copy of the book.

The talented young singer, who rose to international stardom after winning British TV talent show X-Factor, was taken to a local London hospital as a precaution but required no serious treatment. Having been the first female Brit to take the number one spot in the US charts in 20 years with her 2008 hit ballad 'Bleeding Love', Lewis has an expansive fanbase and is generally well-respected for being a rare positive role model within the Entertainment industry.

Prior to the violent outburst, Lewis stated that she was "so glad at the turnout" for the event. In the short interview with the Associated Press, she humbly said, "It's amazing. I can't believe people are coming to support and I am just very thankful." She also explained that she was excited about her forthcoming album.

A spokesman for Lewis explained that she was "absolutely gutted she did not get the signings finished." He then added that for a man to strike a women in that manner was "beyond cowardly." A representative for Waterstone's Piccadilly bookstore also stated that they take security at book signings "extremely seriously," before admitting this that was the first time such an incident had occured at an event.

According to a police spokesperson, a 29-year-old man has been arrested following the attack; the suspect currently remains in custody and is being questioned by the authorities. Lewis, who cancelled a scheduled appearance on a BBC evening magazine show following the incident, has reportedly now confirmed to police that she intends to press charges for the assault.
