Travel Hair: This is an article specifically for my ladies who wear extensions, wigs, weaves, clip ins or anything of the like. How do you travel and "give good hair?"
I was chatting with a friend of mine about a week before my trip to London.
I was telling him that I would be doing video and that I wanted to get a weave so that my beauty regimen and travel hair would be simpler and so that I could quickly tape when I needed to. He argued me down that I should have natural travel hair because it would be less to fuss with and when you travel the minimal amount of fuss is absolutely desirable.
I gave him the side eye over the phone and commenced to figuring out what color my fave blonde is so that I could keep my Barbie look updated. The color is 613 by the way and ridiculously hard to find!
My Travel Hair Started "Good!"
I would like to plan another international trip within the next 90-120 Days. I will probably decide to wear my natural, big curly mane instead of my weave...well maybe.
Here are a few things that to consider when making the all important decision of your travel hair being wig, weave or natural:
1. Photographs. I know that this may sound a bit silly, but you want to show your photos off for years to come and hair is part of the total package for most of us. While this is listed as number one, its not the most important factor.
2. Ability to maintain your extensions look is also very important. I actually ended up going to the drug store and buying some hair products to take my hair back to its natural state after being weave bound. My weave was literally coming apart at the seams. It went from silky to hot mess.
3. Ease after late nights. When on a vacay you are usually going to have a little more wine than you might normally have. You will probably come in and you could misplace your scarf or hey, "passout."
You Can See The Fuzzies, Travel Hair Going BAD!
->>>If you are wearing a wig, you can throw it off. But if you have a weave, you gotta be at 100. You gotta wrap that up, twist it or follow whatever directions your stylist gave you. You aren't doing ANY of that after 5 drinks and a salsa competition.

4. Think about the amount of products that you are going to need to bring to maintain your style, how they need to be packed and if you are going to be in a location that will have additional products that you can buy if you need to.
This Hair Ended Up All Bad. Tracks Showing...Big Sigh
->>> I was in London looking for natural hair products. I'm sure that there are probably awesome ones in the city. In fact, Im positive of it. But I dont know where they are and I ended up grabbing some products that were NOT my regular products OR cheap. 20 pounds....that day that was about 40 bucks for stuff that I have, but didnt bring with me because I was weaving it up...or so I thought.
Truthfully, I think that a happy medium would be a cute wig that you could put on if you want some diversity, but staying natural most of the time.

![Jay-Z Co-Executive Producer Of Indie Film An Oversimplification Of Her Beauty [VIDEO]](http://content.bandzoogle.com/users/SwiftBeatsProductions/images/photos/gallery/5772657.jpg?1) Jay-Z Co-Executive Producer Of Indie Film An Oversimplification Of Her Beauty [VIDEO] Lauryn Hill Issues Statement, Reveals Label Deal With Sony
Jay-Z has his hands in multiple deals and ventures at any given moment. Besides divesting from the Brooklyn Nets, executive producing The Great Gatsby soundtrack and signing WNBA draft pick Skylar Diggins to Roc Nation Sports, the rapper/mogul, and soon to be official sports agent, is a co-executive producer of an independent film called An Oversimplification of Her Beauty.
Besides Jay-Z, the film's other executive producers include author/director dream hampton and Wyatt Cenac. Directed by Terence Nance, who also has a starring role, the film is touted as blurring 'the line between narrative, documentary, and experimental film as it explores the fantasies, emotions, and memories that race through Terence's mind as he examines and re-examines a singular moment in time.'
Also worth noting is that the film will feature new music from renowned producer Flying Lotus. An Oversimplification of Her Beauty, an Official Selection at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, was released in limited theaters on April 26 and has received a 79% approval rating by film critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
It was hampton who co-authored Hova's 2010 book, Decoded.

Lauryn Hill has been in the news plenty lately thanks to a pending sentence for tax evasion, which inadvertently revealed that she has a new record deal with Sony Music. Ms. Hill has issued a statement clarifying her new venture (it's a label deal) that also partly comments on her legal and financial troubles, as well as her future plans.
The 'Everything Is Everything' rapper/singer revealed that she has entered a deal with Sony Worldwide Entertainment to launch her own label. She has plans to release, and has been working on, a new album on said label. Part of Hill's self-imposed exile from the music industry was her disdain from its practices, which she has also pointed to as an explanation for not paying her taxes. But the irony getting back down with the machine, as well as earning a label millions upon millions of dollars with her only getting a relatively small bit of that loot, is not lost on her.
'Only a completely complicated set of traps, manipulations, and inequitable business arrangements could put someone who has accomplished the things that I have, financially in need of anything,' she wrote.
Hill is due back in front of the judge to find out her sentence on May 6. She is hoping for probation.
Read her full statement, which she dropped via Tumblr, below: It has been reported that I signed a new record deal, and that I did this to pay taxes. Yes, I have recently entered into an agreement with Sony Worldwide Entertainment, to launch a new label, on which my new music will be released. And yes, I am working on new music.
I've remained silent, after an extensive healing process. This has been a 10+ year battle, for a long time played out behind closed doors, but now in front of the public eye. This is an old conflict between art and commerce... free minds, and minds that are perhaps overly tethered to structure. This is about inequity, and the resulting disenfranchisement caused by it. I've been fighting for existential and economic freedom, which means the freedom to create and live without someone threatening, controlling, and/or manipulating the art and the artist, by tying the purse strings.
It took years for me to get out of the 'parasitic' dynamic of my youth, and into a deal that better reflects my true contribution as an artist

Watching the Miss USA contest has not been tops on my list of shows to watch. I always root for the Black girl to win, when they get disqualified, I change the channel. My team lost. I might get excited if Miss California or Miss Texas(my home states) are in the running, but if they are blonde-I just turn the television OFF.
As Kenya Moore, the second Black Miss USA Winner in 1993, has gained popularity on the Real Housewives franchise, the Miss USA pageant has become more interesting.
Oh, you didn't know that Kenya Moore was NOT the first Black Miss USA? Well I'm going to be honest with you, I didn't either. So lets check the list of all of the Miss USA Winners who were in fact, Black. What I found were some very interesting what appear to be discrepancies. There are some Miss USA winners working on passing. #ClutchMyBlackPearls
Whats the Difference Between Miss USA and Miss America?
Lets identify the Miss Black USA Winners! Carole Gist
The Very FIRST Black Miss USA winner was Carole Gist. She was crowned Miss USA in 1990 and then was the first runner up for Miss Universe. Miss Gist was also the first Miss USA from the state of Michigan. Carole Gist is now Carole Gist Stramler and she has nothing but GOOD things to say about Kenya Moore, the Miss America USA who came right after her! So when talking about American Black firsts, lets please not forget this Black Beauty Queen!
Kenya Moore
The second Black Miss USA winner is currently the most well known and truth be told my favorite, Kenya Moore. She was crowned Miss USA in 1993 and has excelled in media since then producing and staring in many films. She is now a cast member on the hit Reality show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta and has a top-selling workout video. Oh yes, Kenya Moore is ALSO Gone with the Wind Fabulous!

Chelsi Smith Miss USA
Winning Miss Universe
The third Black Miss USA winner is Chelsi Smith, she won in 1995. She was the first Miss USA to win the Miss Universe in 15 years. However, Chelsi was one of the first famous Black people to wave that "Biracial, not Black" flag. So she has been shunned by black media, and like "other" media does, it has basically ignored her.
If you look at the Miss USA pageant List of winners, Chelsi Smith's name is omitted, due to the fact that she won Miss Universe. Check the Record

This is my personal review after using Crest Whitestrips.
I have used the Crest Whitestrips a couple of times. And I DID really like their results! I noticed a real difference. #NoLie
I was on my way to bed and I said to myself, Im just going to put these Crest White Strips on now so that I can have extra white teeth in the morning. Seems sensible to me that if wearing the white strips for 10 minutes or 30 minutes that overnight would be even better.
That is a big NO!

SEXINESS appeals to the physical senses and can be gained or lost in an instant, depending on the beholder's mood and preference.
BEAUTY appeals to the mental and spiritual senses and roots itself into the beholder's consciousness much more deeply when experienced.
A man will NOTICE a sexy woman, but he will REMEMBER a beautiful woman. A woman who aims to be sexy, although many act like they don't actually realize it, is seeking physical attention and will more than likely receive nothing more than that when she is observed...she asks for it and she gets it. A woman who is beautiful without trying to be sexy will gain the same attention as a woman who tries to be sexy, only the beautiful woman's attention will be of a better, healthier quality.
This is because true beauty resonates beyond the physical - which is temporary and, as we all know, often artificial. So to all my women supporters out there, nurture your own inner beauty so we good men can admire it respectfully...because we DO see it.
And to those who go out of their way to be sexy: stop complaining when the people you're displaying your body to approach your BODY and not YOU.
