Atlanta Streets Alive on Peachtree Street - On Sunday, May 19th, Atlanta Streets Alive will close 2.7 miles of Atlanta's signature street to cars, and open it up to the public - for human powered amusement.
For four hours, you, your friends and your family will have the chance to take back 2.7 miles of Peachtree Street - by foot, by bike, by roller skates, by skateboard or by any human-powered means of transportation. Just one thing... no gasoline-engines allowed.
Atlanta Streets Alive aims to transform Atlanta streets into safe places for people to bike, walk, run, dance and skate - for fun, fitness and transportation.
The event is organized by the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition in partnership with Midtown Alliance, Central Atlanta Progress, and hundreds of local businesses, activity partners and volunteers.

Experience HUMAN powered amusement this Sunday (Oct 7) from 2-6p, Organized by the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition, the 5 mile loop of human powered amusement will be held at N. Highland Virginia and the Atlanta Beltline Eastlake Trail.
Enjoy miles of car free community space to ride, walk and roll, all while enjoying activities such as salsa dancing, yoga, zumba, marching bands and more along the way! Be sure to join in on the fun of the Great Atlanta Halloween Bicycle Parade, which begins at 1:30, on the south side of the route. So ditch your vehicle and enjoy the GREAT outdoors!

A riot after a Yo Gotti show in a Baltimore club could result in the venue's closing.
Popular Baltimore club Velvet Rope hosted Yo Gotti on February 25th, but the show spiraled into chaos, after fans stormed the doors in an attempt to get inside of the venue.
According to the Baltimore Sun, fans threw chairs and signs and more than 50 police officers and a helicopter were called to the club to restore order.
Early Thursday morning (March 4) two men became involved in a brawl inside the Velvet Rope were shot and wounded just blocks away from the city's popular Inner Harbor, a tourist attraction.
The incident was caught on surveillance cameras posted throughout the downtown area and shortly after the shooting, police stopped a van and retrieved a .45 caliber semiautomatic handgun.
Matthew Craighead, 26, has been charged with attempted murder in relation to the shooting, which took place just two blocks away from the Velvet Rope.
The Velvet Rope's is represented by attorney Paul. H. Gardner, a popular Baltimore-based lawyer who once represented the infamous party crashers Michaele and Tareq Salahi Gardner claimed the shooting incident happened off the club's premises.
