Arriving about 45 minutes before the group, Far East Movement, was slated to perform I casually strolled to the third floor. When the Elevator doors opened I could see that Macy's had been positively transformed into a hip hop club! Top 40 music was thumping and people of all ages were dancing and had crowded the empty stage. This was going to be an outstanding and fun event!!...I was even getting my two step on!!...and I could tell that these eager concert goers were HYPED to see the Far East Movement!
The Far East Movement is compromised of 4 hip Hop Heads. They started out working as interns at Interscope Records dreaming big dreams of success and now they rock their own stages around the world! The Far East Movement is best known for their Uber Hit, "Like a G6."
Far East Movement's knowledge and respect of the hip hop culture, music and history was so admirable to a girl like me who grew up in the early stages of the hip hop era, I immediately became endeared to the group!
Far East Movement commanded the stage in a way that I have not witnessed in a long time and I was instantly transformed to my hip hop days just listening to their authentic lyrics. The Far East Movement is stylish and hot to watch and their fans poured out of everywhere. Hundreds of people filled the third floor and Macy's and people were even crowded on the steps and standing on the leather couches just to catch a glimpse of the Far East Movement.
Smashbox Cosmetics was doing free makeovers and Pinkberry Yogurt company was giving away delicious frozen yogurt on the unusually hot San Francisco afternoon!

On this weeks episode of Married to Medicine we got a see a very maternal side of Mariah Huq. Dr. Aydin Huq, her husband, arrived home with their two children, Lauren and Ethan. Mariah was cooking for real and in real pots(Good Ones too!)
The two beautiful Huq children, Lauren and Ethan, discussed their day at school. I was impressed watching Mariah Huq looking and acting like a regular mother and wife. On Reality Television so many women work to have the semblance of being so wealthy that they don't cook or do any form of housework.
Side Note: Personally, I would never have another person regularly cooking for my husband, I don't care HOW rich I am. Im all about that ManTrap. Another woman cooking for him is almost like another woman putting the OTHER ManTrap on him...
Ethan Huq had been misbehaving in school and Mariah began to chastise him in a sweet but very firm manner. I appreciate that Mariah's discipline did not involve any threats, profanity or unnecessary physical punishment.
Mariah admitted to being the disciplinarian of the couple.
And it was funny when spanking was mentioned Mariah was like, "Whut? We don't spank." In case CPS was watching. I KNOW Mariah gets with her kids!
I could also see that Mariah and Aydin have a good relationship with each other. They talk as friends and I loved that Aydin listened. It was dramatically different than the way that Toya and her husband interacted with each other, when Toya fussed about Mariah with him.
Whats wrong with Toya Harris? Married to Medicine is like Real Housewives of Atlanta meets Bad Girls Club! Every woman on the show is trying to stake her claim as the baddest bish to stay on the show and eventually climb to the Nene Leaks height of success.
One word of advice, there will never be another Nene Leaks, there just won't. She came with that personality at the right time.
However Toya Bush-Harris on Married to Medicine is a hot ass mess. Whats wrong with Toya Harris? She started a fight with Mariah Huq, by talking about her daughters paternity, talking about her mother and then threw water on Mariah at a Party. While I would never define Mariah Huq as Classy, she was as composed as one could be expected to be under the circumstances.
Toya Harris actually reminds me of those annoying little Flies that fly around when you are at an outdoor restaurant. They buzz, make irritating noise and cause your meal to be less enjoyable because you are spending half of the time shewing them away!!...just like Toya.
Toya butts in on her husbands conversation with his business partners from Nomad MD. Toya discusses HER thoughts. She wanted to know WHEN they were going to open the buisness. Huh? Whats wrong with Toya Harris? If Toya honestly felt like she had something of value to say, the middle of the meeting was NOT the appropriate time. She should have been serving lemonade not her mouth. Her husband truly looked irritated, but he is so mild tempered that he patiently "handled her." Which he should have done, but dayum.
And then...
Toya and her husband go out for lunch where the other people who were supposed to go to lunch with them didnt show up. The young couple have a little bit of time to spend together and enjoy a meal. Toya starts talking about the fight between her and Mariah Huq. She wants an apology. Whats wrong with Toya Harris?
"Im tired of talking about Mariah."
That's what Toya's husband said. Thats a sign. And then Toya starts crying. Her husband has to patiently handle her again. Toya Harris needs a lot of attention. What Toya really needs is a Job. Something to occupy her time, maybe an organization to work with so that she does not have to focus on the lives of other people. And this woman has kids!! Do they NOT have a PTA in Atlanta?

I was getting ready to put my laptop down. When I saw that one of my favorite actresses, Catherine Zeta Jones was in the Headlines: Catherine Zeta Jones Checks in For Bi-Polar Disorder "maintenance." Whoa. It made me think and wonder-are Sistas suffering from this as well??...of course we are suffering from Bi-Polar Disorder.
Black people traditionally do not go see psychiatrist's or "head doctors." I am in close relationship with the Lord, however I do feel like when you are in mental instability the remedy is not Prayer. You need help in the same way that you need insulin or high blood pressure medication. Black people are still feeling like there is a stigma attached to mental illness or something that only white people get treated for.
I hope that if you or anybody that you know may suffer from Bi-Polar Disorder or any other mental issues, that you would read this and do more research. According to BlackHealthZone.com
Bipolar disorder involves periods of excitability (mania) alternating with periods of depression. The "mood swings" between mania and depression can be very abrupt.
Symptoms
The manic phase may last from days to months and can include the following symptoms:
• Agitation or irritation
• Elevated mood
o Hyperactivity
o Increased energy
o Lack of self-control
o Racing thoughts
• Inflated self-esteem (delusions of grandeur, false beliefs in special abilities)
• Little need for sleep
• Over-involvement in activities
• Poor temper control
• Reckless behavior
o Binge eating, drinking, and/or drug use
o Impaired judgment
o Sexual promiscuity
o Spending sprees
• Tendency to be easily distracted
These symptoms of mania are seen with bipolar disorder I. In people with bipolar disorder II, hypomanic episodes involve similar symptoms that are less intense.
The depressed phase of both types of bipolar disorder involves very serious symptoms of major depression:
• Difficulty concentrating, remembering, or making decisions
• Eating disturbances
o Loss of appetite and weight loss
o Overeating and weight gain
• Fatigue or listlessness
• Feelings of worthlessness, hopelessness and/or guilt
• Loss of self-esteem
• Persistent sadness
• Persistent thoughts of death
• Sleep disturbances
• Excessive sleepiness
• Inability to sleep

There is a high risk of suicide with bipolar disorder. While in either phase, patients may abuse alcohol or other substances, which can worsen the symptoms.
Sometimes there is an overlap between the two phases. Manic and depressive symptoms may occur simultaneously or in quick succession in what is called a mixed state.
Treatment
For the manic phase of bipolar disorder, antipsychotic medications, lithium, and mood stabilizers are typically used. For the depressive phase, antidepressants are sometimes used, with or without the manic phase treatment.
There is very little long-term evidence suggesting that any medication has great success in the maintenance phase. However, in studies that followed patients for 2 years, lithium and some antipsychotics were found to be moderately successful.
Antipsychotic drugs can help a person who has lost touch with reality. Anti-anxiety drugs, such as benzodiazepines, may also help. The patient may need to stay in a hospital until his or her mood has stabilized and symptoms are under control.
Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) may be used to treat bipolar disorder. ECT is a psychiatric treatment that uses an electrical current to cause a brief seizure of the central nervous system while
I have to admit I am very uncomfortable with Lil Scrappy's Daddy Mama, Mama Dee, and his her non blending weave. The way that she deals with her son reminds me of how Jody acted with his Mama. He cant move until she says move.

Ryan Lochte, The Male Kim Kardashian When Ryan Lochte said that he wanted to be the male version of Kim Kardashian, I was like-uhhh. Good Lord, like we need another one of those right? OMG. When the show started I was immediately drawn to the television screen, for several reasons:
* Ryan Lochte is KINDA FIONE. I guess he wasn't Michael Phelps and I just wasnt checking for him during the Olympics but I missed out!
* His Body is Kickin'!
* His white boy fashion swag is kinda hot
* He lives like a Rock Star in Gainsville, Mississppi, who does that?
* He is Funny as Hell, he reminds me of white frat boys from college
* JEAH!....you have to watch the show to know what that means
* His family life is cool, he has agressive Sisters and a mom that checks him
* He is the most humble dude that I have ever seen on television
* I KNOW that he likes Black girls, he just hasnt met me yet
And OMG...He was playing Flag Football with a Red Cup. And we all know whats in that Red Cup!

Last Season on Love and Hip Hop we watched Stevie J manipulate Josline Hernandez and Mimi Faust into the Pretzel that is Love and Hip Hop. I saw some things that made me ask myself is this REAL? ...and I also started asking myself, what in the world is in the D of these men that are from Atlanta?
Is Mimi Still with Stevie J? Well you know the answer to that. Of course she is. Lets Bust out 10 Reasons why Mimi Faust is The Dumbest Woman in Reality TV.
1. She had sex with Stevie J without a condom.
This gets Mimi the biggest side eye ever. Dude did not just "get" like this. Last Season Stevie J was not rolling in dough, but I DO know what he was rolling in...and all over Atlanta.
2. After the session with the relationship counselor (Love And Hip Hop Atlanta: Season 1) the fact that Mimi even spoke to Stevie J again, unbelievable!
Who brings BOTH of their girlfriends to counseling? Stevie J, thats who.
3. Mimi just decided to spend the night at Stevie J's sisters house?
I dont care how late it is, take your butt (and your daughter) home. They just happen to end up in the bed together?
4. Mimi agreed to move BACK in with Stevie J so that Eva(their daughter), would not be "exposed" to Joseline Hernandez.
Bish you so weak that you cant control who Stevie J brings around your daughter? No, really, you just wanted to move back with Stevie J. Eva was a damn good excuse though!

Seeing Mimi bite Stevie J and Domestic Violence almost breaking out was truly disturbing, because it reminded me that women have truly sunk to a level or pure desperation for men that have absolutely NO value.
The question will never be "Is Mimi still with Stevie J?" because the person in control of their relationship is Stevie J. The real question is, "Is Stevie J, ever going to Really be with Mimi?"
