New York, NY - Critically acclaimed artist Cee Lo Green has signed a management deal with New York City-based Family Tree / Primary Wave Talent Management, with veteran artist manager Michael “Blue” Williams at the helm. Primary Wave’s full-service marketing division will also play a key role in all future ventures involving Mr. Green, including the release of his upcoming album, The Lady Killer, due in stores on November 9 on Atlantic Records. The Lady Killer contains Cee Lo Green’s current hit single, “F*** You”, which is currently #1 on European music charts and quickly rising up the U.S. charts.
Cee Lo’s latest masterful concoction, The Lady Killer, will be released – several months earlier than scheduled, due to ravenous demands by his increasingly fervent fanbase. The Lady Killer features the current hit single “F*** You”, a song that set off a global viral sensation, garnering over 13 million plays on YouTube in less than two months and racking up #1 chart positions across Europe.
Cee Lo Green first came into the limelight with Southern-rap pioneers Goodie Mob, releasing their debut album Soul Food in 1995. After being signed as a solo artist to Arista Records, Cee Lo released a duo of brilliant Southern-tinged urban albums – Cee Lo Green and his Perfect Imperfections in 2002, and in 2004, Cee Lo Green ... is the Soul Machine. Green finally reached the lexicon of public attention befitting an artist of his caliber, teaming with hip-hop producer Dangermouse on Gnarls Barkley, procuring the first number 1 single strictly compiled of digital sales with the monster song “Crazy”.
“Cee Lo Green is an incredibly talented artist, and I couldn’t be more proud to represent him,” says Williams. “Cee Lo and I have known each other for over 15 years and over that time I’ve seen him grow monumentally as a performer. From the first time I saw him perform through today, I’m still utterly amazed each and every time I see him or listen to his music, and I’m so ecstatic to help bring his talent to the world.”
Family Tree Entertainment recently joined forces with Primary Wave Music to become an artist management force to be reckoned with. Family Tree is led by visionary Michael “Blue” Williams, who is responsible for breaking artists such as Outkast, Macy Gray, Donnell Jones and Monica. Additionally, Williams has lent his talents to established acts like Nas, who clamored to bring his expertise on board. Family Tree/Primary Wave Talent Management is also currently managing teen phenom Cody Simpson, Big Sean, who is signed to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music label, and the Trio Lords and Lady.
Cee Lo Green says, “Finally a firm with foresight! Fearless and focused, fighting on the front lines for the fundamentals of franchise. In short – I like these guys!”

Fox has closed a deal with Matthew Vaughn to direct "X-Men: First Class" and has set a date of June 3, 2011, for the film.
Vaughn's involvement had been on and off, with negotiations resuming yesterday thanks to the involvement of producer Bryan Singer. Another factor had been Fox's desire of wanting to have a finished film for next summer, making the search for a director who can deliver a quality film a priority.
On top of that, Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz, who worked on Marvel's "Thor" movie, did a rewrite on the "First Class" script that convinced execs that making a movie for next year was possible.
Singer, who conceived the story for "First Class" and was to initially direct the movie before choosing to focus on "Jack the Giant Killer" for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, is producing along with Lauren Shuler Donner and Simon Kinberg.
According to Fox, "First Class" will "chart the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were the closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men."
The June 3 date sets "First Class" in a boxoffice battle with...More X-MEN
Warner Bros. has set July 20, 2012, as the release date for the third Christopher Nolan-directed Batman movie.
The studio has barely begun the process of developing the movie; Nolan is in postproduction on "Inception," but is hammering out a story with David Goyer.
There is no title as this point and no start date.
July is becoming Nolan's month. "The Dark Knight" opened on July 18, 2008, and "Inception" debuts July 16.
With Batman 3 on the docket, summer 2012 is shaping up to be one of the greater geek movie seasons. Marvel's "The Avengers" is slated to come out May 4, board game adaptation "Battleship" leaves port May 25, the "Star Trek" sequel beams up June 29, and the rebooted "Spider-Man" swings into theaters on July 3.
T.I. has feen finalizing plans for the release of his latest round of music. The Grammy Award-winning MC announced Thursday (April 15) via his Web site that the title of his August 24 LP will be King Uncaged. And on Wednesday, Tip released a promo trailer for an upcoming mixtape he has with DJ Drama and DJ MLK, one in the Gangsta Grillz series called F--- a Mixtape.
While some were confused by the title, rest assured that all parties involved are not turning their backs on the mixtape circuit — after all, the project is a mixtape and both Drama and MLK have several mixtapes with various other artists on deck in the coming weeks. But Drama declined to elaborate on the meaning behind the title.
"Take it how you wanna take it," Drama, who describes the quality of King Uncaged as being so dope it's "ridiculous," said about any controversy the name has caused. "I'mma let Tip explain." However, Drama did say that he was one of the people championing Tip's return to the circuit.
"We been talking about it for a minute — a long time," Dram said. "It's been quite awhile since Tip has done a Gangsta Grillz. I guess The Leak was the last one. When Tip first got home, I had the conversation with him. 'You home, Gangsta Grillz as a brand is still as hot as it ever was, almost helping breathe back life into the mixtape game. I think it will be right to come back full circle to where you are, to where the brand is.' That's how the conversation started."
The tape is around 80 percent done and going through some tweaks. It's almost all original material thus far.
"I'm about to go in and see if I can get Tip to murder a couple of people's beats real quick," he continued. "I'm gonna get on his head about that, but for the most part, all original material."
Tip and his P$C family earned status as underground heroes with their In Da Streets series.
"Right up there with it," Drama said of how the new project compares to the classics. "Right up there with it. I think this is going to be exciting...More T.I.
