Former England captain David Beckham is to retire at the end of the season. The 38-year-old signed a five-month deal at Paris St-Germain in January and donated all of his salary to charity. Beckham made 115 appearances for England and 394 for Manchester United, winning six Premier League titles and the Champions League. "I'm thankful to PSG for giving me the opportunity to continue but I feel now is the right time to finish my career, playing at the highest level," he said. "He's been a fantastic ambassador for football and sport. What he has achieved has been remarkable. Whatever he goes on to do I'm sure he will achieve a lot. "-- Lee Sharpe Ex-Man Utd midfielder and former team-mate Including PSG's recent Ligue 1 title win, Beckham has won 19 trophies - 10 of them league titles - in a playing career spanning 20 years, and is the only English player to win championships in four countries. "If you had told me as a young boy I would have played for and won trophies with my boyhood club Manchester United, proudly captained and played for my country over 100 times and lined up for some of the biggest clubs in the world, I would have told you it was a fantasy," he said. "I'm fortunate to have realised those dreams." Beckham moved to Real Madrid in 2003, winning La Liga with them in 2007 before a switch to the United States with LA Galaxy. The midfielder made his England debut against Moldova in 1996 and captained the side from 2000 to 2006, making his 115th and final England appearance in a 3-0 win over Belarus in 2009. Beckham was the first English player to score in three consecutive World Cup Finals and has the joint-second most goal assists in European Championship finals history. He added: "Nothing will ever completely replace playing the game I love. However, I feel like I'm starting a new adventure and I'm genuinely excited about what lies ahead. "I'm fortunate to have been given many opportunities throughout my career and now I feel it's my time to give back." He has two more games to go before the end of the season,
David Beckham has revealed that he doesn't regret any of his tattoos.
The PSG footballer told CNN (via Now magazine) has 32 tattoos in total and said that they all have "a meaning"
He said: "I have 32 and I don't regret any of them. They all have a meaning. I think that's what's important about tattoos, if they have a meaning you'll never regret them."
Beckham recently relocated back to the UK with wife Victoria. They share four children together, Brooklyn, 14, Romeo, 10, Cruz, 8, and Harper, 1.
The 37-year-old has a tattoo for each of his four children and insists that they are his "favourites" out of all of his inkings.
Earlier this week, he admitted that he owes a lot to Sir Alex Ferguson, who announced his retirement from football management this week.
He described Ferguson as a "father figure" during his time with Manchester United.

Communications Director for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Ibrahim Sannie Daara who was at the Legon Police Station with some high profile members of the GFA to secure bail for John Pantsil, has expressed worry over the media's reportage of an incident he describes as a domestic affair
Ghana defender John Pantsil was on last Friday arrested by the East Legon Police in Accra on allegation of assaulting his wife.
The Hapoel Tel Aviv player was reported by some media houses to have 'Punched, Stabbed and attempt to kill' his wife who was then admitted to the Legon hospital following a misunderstanding.
Sannie Daara, who was speaking to some section of the media, stated emphatically that there was no stabbing as first put out by the media. "We (GFA) want to say that he (John Pantsil) has been released and bailed. We want to state for the record that there was no stabbing; the woman (Richlove Pantsil) was not unconscious, she did not jump a wall as reported in many media. She only spent some few minutes at the hospital for doctors to check on her," he said
Eventhough the incident is still under investigations, Sannie Daara, who seemed to be holding brief for the Deputy Skipper of the Senior National team, cautioned the media against creating any unnecessary hullabaloo over the incident since most of the report circulating are fallacious. Meanwhile, the Police say they have obtained the medical report of John Pantsil's wife which indicates she was badly assaulted. The police claim the medical reports they have secured indicate Mrs Pantsil was admitted to a hospital in a critical condition.
According to the police, the reports shows Richlove Pantsil sustained several injuries including a severe cut around her eye.
However, Mrs Richlove Pantsil has denied she was assaulted by the husband following a misunderstanding at their Trassaco House.
ÃÆ'‚"I (Sannie Daara) want to tell the press not to get ahead of time in reporting this matter. We (GFA) are disappointed in some members of the media for their reportage without confirming an aspect of the report claiming there was stabbing in the incident. Yes, there was a domestic affair and domestic incident, but there was no stabbing. Richlove is fine, John is fine, they have reconciled and they (the Pantsils') are going home together...So, as and when we have any further information, we (GFA) will inform you the media," he added

NFL Hall of Famer and Legendary Green Bay Packers Coach Vince Lombardi said it best: "It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up." Brian Banks must have heard those words before; because he is living them now.
The former high school football star was exonerated of a rape charge that, after 10 years, would be the end of one's professional aspirations. Not, Banks' though. He's still pursuing his dream to play professional football! Now 27 years old, the linebacker finally signed with the Las Vegas Locomotives of the United Football League (UFL) after unsuccessful tryouts with the Seattle Seahawks (see video above), San Francisco 49ers, San Diego Chargers, and Kansas City Chiefs.
Banks should have been a Green Bay Packer. Still could be... Just saying. Considering that the only thing that has stopped him from playing pro ball is that the UFL folded due to financial challenges, you can bet that Banks will get up again (just as Lombardi coached); and if it is at all possible... Banks will get into the National Football League. He declares:

Snoop Dogg has decided to expand his Snoop Youth Football League to the city of Chicago. For the 2011 football season, he is planning to start at least eight chapters, which will cover different parts of the city. Chicago is the first city on the list for the expansion of the league.
The first four chapters will be the Chicago Chargers, the Jets, the Southside Seahawks, and the Raiders. Each chapter will have six different divisions for football and cheerleading. Other chapters may be started at a later date.
Appointed President Tonja Styles and Vice President Otis Wilson will run the Chicago league.
Styles is the owner and CEO of I Am Image Entertainment and use to serve asthe Director of New Business Development at Danielle Ashley Communications. Wilson is a former Chicago Bears football player, a Super Bowl champion, and operates the Otis Wilson Foundation.
According to Styles, the youth of Chicago really deserve this opportunity and Snoop's program is a great alternative for keeping kids out of the streets.
The Snoop Youth Football League was started back in 2004 in the city of Los Angeles to allow underprivileged kids to play football at a low cost. Snoop donated $1 million dollars to start up the league. There are currently over 4,000 kids, who are part of the league in the State of California.
In order to play on the league, kids must be between the ages of 7 to 14 and must keep at least a 2.0 GPA to remain on the team as a football player or a cheerleader. Each year an all-conference championship game is held to reward the students for their educational progress and sport skills.
There are plans in the near future to expand the Snoop Youth Football League into Las Vegas as well.
