In today's WHO 2 KNOW WHERE 2 GO Mondays we have all of that for you and more. So, enjoy this week's food for the soul and if you know any place or person that we should feature, be sure to let us know.

WHO 2 KNOW
Don "DC" Curry
You may know him as Craig's sex-crazed, Uncle Elroy Jones in "Next Friday" and "Friday After Next" , or for his role on the sitcom "Grace Under Fire", or even as a voice-over artist on hit TV show Boondocks - but did you know that DC is a front man for his own R&B and Blues band, or that he is, first a stand-up comedian who got his big break on BET's Comic View? DC is extremely versatile and incredibly funny. I had the opportunity to meet DC and I must say that he is a natural comic who keeps you laughing! DC is always on the go, so be sure to catch his next performance in a town near you, and if you do, get ready to get your laugh on!! Better yet, if you get a chance to meet him, tell him WHO 2 KNOW WHERE 2 GO sent ya.. LAUGH IT UP!!!
The Heavy Weights
You have heard their tunes, however, you may not have known who was behind it. Melvin "JoJo Beats" Sparkman and Marcus Allen Sparkman are brothers who have provided the magic touch behind many artists. Some of the artists who have worked with The Heavy Weights include Snoop Dogg, Rihanna, The Pussycat Dolls and Ne-Yo. The Heavy Weights won the 2008 Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B album, Ne-Yo's "Because of You" and although that's a winner within it's self, these guys have not stopped there! Recently, one of The Heavy Weights songs (Festa Mascarado, performed by artist, Suzanna Lubrano) won TWO African Music Awards! These guys continue to stay ahead in their industry by keeping their sound genuine and fresh, so the next time you are bobbing your head to a tune, it may just be a Heavy Weight track.
Shaffer Chimere Smith better known as Ne-Yo is a true R&B singer-songwriter, record producer and actor who not only writes his own music, but many of other artists as well! His first hit song (written for Mario) was "Let Me Love You" and from there it has been a great successful ride. Ne-Yo has since had numerous number one hits, keeping his name on the billboard charts. Ne-Yo makes great music you can understand and relate to, so I will forever be a fan! I had the opportunity to welcome Ne-Yo to Atlanta by assisting him and his team (Compound) in real estate and the pleasure was all mine! Ne-Yo is a complete down to earth gentleman and it shows in his art via music or movies. Keep up with Ne-Yo at the links below.
