An extension of the popular Moet Rose Lounge summer series that featured The Dream, these fall events will be private, invitation-only evening affairs hosted in New York City, Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Cleveland and Detroit to celebrate the launch of Libra Scale available on Tuesday, October 19th, 2010.

BALTIMORE - A Maryland judge has ordered R&B singer Ne-Yo and his booking agent to pay more than $156,000 in damages because the performer failed to appear at a 2008 New Year's Eve concert in Washington state.
Anne Arundel County Circuit Judge Philip Caroom ordered the payment Tuesday after a four-day trial in late July and early August.
Promoter Kenyohn Clark sued Ne-Yo, whose real name is Shaffer Smith, and promoter Mike Esterman, who is based in Maryland. The judge ruled in favor of Clark, who claimed that Esterman misled him and failed to return a $95,000 deposit.
Court documents show Ne-Yo testified at trial that he knew in his "heart of hearts" that the deposit should have been returned to Clark.
Attorneys for Ne-Yo and Esterman could not immediately be reached for comment.  | Posted by blackstar

One of our favorite Clizbeats featured artists, Keri Hilson has been keeping busy, staying active with various projects while she is prepping us for her scecond album as a solo artist.
While her debut album, In A Perfect World was certified Gold in the US thanks to the Grammy nominated track featured on it, "Knock You Down" featuring Ne-Yo and Kanye West, she continued to do what she does best singing as a featured artist.

Ne-Yo, 30, is about to become a first-time father.
EBONY sat down with the singer-songwriter at a super exclusive photoshoot planned to help promote his upcoming album Libra Scale. Ne-Yo, who is preparing to attend the ASCAP Awards Friday night in Beverly Hills, talked about how he had traveled home to Atlanta to get some news about the baby.
He had to come home so he could make the first ultrasound visit with his girlfriend. There's no word on the sex of the baby because the tiny tot curled up in a ball, leading Ne-Yo to joke that his future progeny is "stubborn." But, he added, "They didn't get that one from me."
The star, whose album is due on September 21, is excited about meeting his first child in January.
"I am 30 and I do have my first child on the way, and I'm very, very, very excited about that," he tells EBONY. "It's a New Year's baby and I'm just in a really good place right now." | Posted by news

Ne-Yo wants you to upload your interpretation of "Beautiful Monster" to YouTube now!
Ne-Yo is going to perform "Beautiful Monster" for the first time on the hit FOX network show "So You Think You Can Dance". One lucky winner and their guest will be flown out to the July 1st Los Angeles show to meet the singer and take in a one of a kind performance. The winner will also receive a custom made Beautiful Monster gift bag filled with all sorts of goodies.
Participants must keep all videos under 1 minute long and should upload the video directly to Ne-Yo's YouTube channel so he can see it first.

Rapper Ludacris has reworked his Battle of the Sexes album into a compilation album featuring the Atlanta rapper collaborating with today's top female Hip-Hop artists.
Artists like Eve, Lil Kim, Trina, Nicki Minaj and R&B singer Ciara are featured on the release, which is rounded out by guests appearances from Ne-Yo, Plies and Flo Rida.
The firt single from the album is Ludacris' single "How Low," which is #1 on iTunes' Hip-Hop Chart, moving over 500,000 copies.
Battle of the Sexes is Ludacris' 7th official solo album and his first release since 2008's Theater of the Mind.
The album was originally supposed to be a collaboration between former Disturbing Tha Peace artist Shawnna, who is absent from the new version of the release.

Aliyah "Mama Pain" Najm (T-Pain‘s mother), Jacida Carter (Lil Wayne's mother) and H. Loraine Smith (Ne-Yo's mother) will serve as hosts of Dinner Table Discussions, which aims to present a quality and informative program.
According to the women, their aim is to create a show that will enhance their viewers "educationally, economically, socially and culturally," by discussing current events, important topics, interviews and feature segments.
"Our vision is to be a premiere talk show that delivers a creative and informative format that assists viewers in educating and solving challenging issues," Najm told AllHipHop.com in a statement.

 EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey - Rihanna's Rated R will come out November 23 and feature new collaborations with the man behind her biggest hit so far. The-Dream, who wrote "Umbrella," penned a couple of tracks for the new LP.
"Me and Rihanna, she just cut the last of the two records we did. It's a record called 'Rock Star,' " the singer-song writer divulged earlier this week, backstage at the Izod Center in New Jersey. "The first record is a record called 'Hard,' which features [Young] Jeezy. Both of those records are pretty insane."

Dream declined to go into much detail about the tracks, but said the Rihanna/ Jeezy collaboration is one for the record books.
" 'Hard,' I want that song to explain itself," he said. "Most of the stuff I wrote - still to this day what I write - I try to find out through people - what they're going through or what they gotta say. Then we put that in."
Dream also said that nobody has to worry about Jeezy's verse. The Snowman delivered as always.
"Oh, c'mon, he killed it! You know Young killed it," Dream smiled. "That's ATL right there. That's all we do."
Last week, Rihanna released the single "Russian Roulette," which was written by Ne-Yo.

"It's definitely going to be a single. It's either going to be the first or the second single. I do know that."
