THE BOONDOCKS Returns May 2nd

Aaron McGruder's The Boondocks returns for its third season this Sunday night at 11:30 p.m. after a two-year break.

The debut of the new series begins with Huey Freeman being named a "hostile youth" and "ten-year-old domestic terrorist" linked to Barack Obama in October 2008 because they hooked up on MySpace.

A German documentary team visit Huey, Riley, grandfather Robert and other characters on the show to follow them during the election of President Barack Obama. He also talks to Thomas and Sara Dubois who are Obama volunteers and Uncle Ruckus, who supported John McCain and hates Obama.

The Boondocks was a daily syndicated comic strip written and drawn by Aaron McGruder that ran from 1996 to 2006. McGruder sold the television and film rights for the strip to Sony Pictures Entertainment. The Boondocks animated TV series premiered on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming November 6, 2005.
