50 Cent Cashes Out Floyd Mayweather IRS Problems: "Floyd Was Just On FaceTime W/ Me, He Had 20 Milli
New York rapper 50 Cent isn't here for the IRS rumors. The hip-hop veteran has reacted to a viral story about longtime pal Floyd Mayweather Jr. owing money in a 2015 tax liability.
Fif went to Instagram last night (July 10) to downplay the situation's seriousness.
This week, reports surfaced about Mayweather's unexpected legal woe.
Mayweather remains unable to pay a 2015 tax liability and filed a tax court petition on July 5 asking the IRS to allow him a reprieve until the McGregor fight. The filing also asks the government to waive a penalty for failing to pay. The former five-division champion has enough assets to afford the tax bill, he just doesn't have the available cash. A few days ago, Floyd's must-see Conor McGregor boxing match promotional clip went viral.
Last month, avid boxing fan Dave Chappelle weighed-in on the upcoming Mayweather/McGregor fight.
"Personally, I think Conor McGregor's gonna get destroyed. It's not even competitive. If I spend $7 million on a bet on Floyd, then I'll make a million. But is it gambling if you're short? [McGregor having a lucky knockout punch?] It's not [gonna happen]. It's like the Golden State Warriors playing your local high school." ("The Breakfast Club")
