50 Cent Remembers His True Day One: "This Guy Made My First Album Power Of A Dollar"
New York rapper 50 Cent's out here going down memory lane. The hip-hop veteran has put some respect on the man responsible for his first-ever studio release Power of a Dollar.
Fif went to Instagram Wednesday (August 30) to salute longtime music veteran Rich Nice.
Earlier this year, 50 updated fans on his long-awaited Street King Immortal album.
"I have an album that I've been waiting to put out. JAY-Z just released a record recently. It was good I just said it was too smart. I think you do gotta dumb down the material to fit in what the culture's producing. It's a little more melody-driven and not as sophisticated as it was when I came in. I guess it's a place for it like that. [Album release date?] It'll be before the end of the year. It won't be as smart as the JAY-Z record. I want to make music people have fun to." Back in February, the G-Unit boss reflected on the impact of his game-changing Get Rich or Die Tryin' release.
In January, the hip-hop veteran promised to release new music in the near future.
Lol this shirt makes me look how my son sees me. Stay sucker free, stay focused. #denofthieves New Music coming soon
