Anderson .Paak Taps Nate Dogg For "What Can We Do?" Collaboration

We may have lost legendary Long Beach, California rapper Nate Dogg back in 2011, but that doesn't mean his music hasn't continued to touch fans. The West coast rapper's hits hold a special place in the hearts of longtime fans, and those less familiar with the late rapper-singer are able to appreciate his sound now that Anderson .Paak has featured him on the track, "What Can You Do?" from his latest effort Ventura.
"It was just so awesome to be able to get the song with him," Paak said of the Ventura song. "Fredwreck, the producer who produced so much Snoop and Dogg Pound and so much stuff with Dre on the Chronic and 2001. He had a bunch of Nate Dogg songs that he did before he died. This one in particular was one he really felt like we could use for my album."
"I really like it because it sounds like something we could have did when he was still here," Paak continued. "When you hear it, it's like you might not even know. We're going back and forth, so it's really sweet, man. It's a really cool song."
Quotable Lyrics
It's the rap singer, the hook master
Real life convict, son of a gambler
Heart made of stone, and he move so cold
'Cause my girl up and gone, she'll be back in the morn'
