Avicii's First Posthumous Single With Aloe Blacc Is Here

Last week, it was announced that the first posthumous album from Swedish DJ Avicii would be released this summer. Expected to arrive in June, our first taste of the project has just been provided by way of a single featuring Aloe Blacc. Fans of the producer will recognize Blacc as he previously laid a hand on Avicii's hit song "Wake Me Up." Much like their last hook-up, this is an electronic banger with Aloe Blacc flexing his smooth vocals and bringing his melodious expertise to the mix.

The song was released alongside a video showcasing many of the messages that Avicii's family received after the musician's death last year. His first posthumous album Tim was announced last week by members of his family, who noted that the project was approximately 80% complete when Avicii lost his life. Producer Carl Falk previously stated how difficult it was to work on the album after Avicii passed away, saying that he tried his hardest to keep the producer's vision intact.
Avicii, born Tim Bergling, died one year ago at age 28. What do you think of Avicii's posthumous single with Aloe Blacc? Does it live up to your expectations? Stay tuned for Tim, which is dropping June 6.
Quotable Lyrics:
I can feel your love pullin' me up from the underground, and
I don't need my drugs, we could be more than just part-time lovers
I can feel your touch pickin' me up from the underground, and
I don't need my drugs, we could be more than just part-time lovers
