Eminem, Beyoncé & The Weeknd's Coachella '18 Is Officially A No-Smoke Zone

Grammy-winning rapper Eminem, Beyoncé and The Weeknd's Coachella music festival is not here for the smoke - literally. A new report claims the California two-weekend event will not lift its marijuana policy despite statewide recreational approval.

According to reports, weed won't receive any law enforcement salutes when the event goes down this spring.

The city of Indio, where Coachella takes place, is cracking down on marijuana use. The city isn't allowing the selling, cultivating or distributing of cannabis. Under the new law, each town can decide whether to allow recreational weed sales, and - sorry to harsh your Queen Bey buzz - Indio's decided it's a no. Coachella isn't allowing marijuana or marijuana products on the festival site either. The city of Indio still has to abide by state law which now allows you to possess a small amount of bud for personal use, but you can't smoke it out in the open. (TMZ)

This week, details emerged about Coachella selling out ridiculously fast.

The Weekend One general admission passes, which go for $429, were sold out in about 35 minutes, while the GA plus shuttle, which go for $504, sold out in about an hour. Weekend Two passes also went fast. General admission has also already sold out. (Desert Sun)

A few weeks ago, speculation developed about Em and a few notable superstars like Beyoncé and The Weeknd coming through for this year's Coachella.

Detroit rap icon Eminem, pop music queen Beyoncé, and R&B crooner The Weeknd are set to headline the 2018 edition of Coachella, industry sources tell Consequence of Sound. America's preeminent music festival returns for its 19th edition on April 13th-15th and April 20th-22nd at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. An official lineup announcement is expected in early January coinciding with the on sale of tickets. (Consequence of Sound)
