Felicity Huffman Pleads Guilty In College Bribery Case: " I Am Ashamed"
Felicity Huffman doesn't want to prolong her court appearances since she's pleaded guilty to her involvement in bribing college officials to get her daughter accepted into an ivy league school. According to TMZ, Felicity and 13 others have taken the same route with entering plea deals as of today, admitting to conspiracy to commit mail fraud as well as honest services mail fraud.
The former Desperate Housewives star paid Rick Singer a total of $15,000 to rig her daughter's SAT test scores as well as giving her twice the amount of time to complete the test, where her answers were corrected afterward.

"I am in full acceptance of my guilt, and with deep regret and shame over what I have done, I accept full responsibility for my actions and will accept the consequences that stem from those actions," ” Felicity said in a statement via Variety. "I am ashamed of the pain I have caused my daughter, my family, my friends, my colleagues and the educational community. I want to apologize to them and, especially, I want to apologize to the students who work hard every day to get into college, and to their parents who make tremendous sacrifices to support their children and do so honestly."
The maximum sentence for the felony is 20 years in prison.
