Here's The Judge Who Sent Meek Mill To His 2-4 Year Prison Sentence: "I Do Have Quite A Few Success

While the entire hip-hop world continues to scream out "Free Meek Mill," a throwback clip has surfaced of the judge responsible for sentencing the Dreamchasers boss to a 2-4-year prison sentence.

A 2015 interview video has resurfaced and gives viewers an up-close look at Judge Genece Brinkley talking about her Advancing Civics Education (ACE) program in Philadelphia schools.

"The ACE program is a wonderful program which was launched more than five years ago which is a joint program between the Philadelphia school district and the Philadelphia bar association. ACE stands for Advancing Civics Education and the purpose is to teach civics in the public schools in a creative and interactive way that really gets them involved in the classes. Interestingly enough, back in the day, we did have civics in the schools but now it seems to be one of the classes that's more akin to an elective than anything else. ... There's room for education along the spectrum along life's journey at all times. I do as much as I can to educate those who come before me. I try to make sure that getting a GED is one of the conditions of my sentence and that they do it. I try to make sure getting some sort of vocational training." (CCPTV53)

This week, Meek's lawyer Joe Tacopina singled out the judge for throwing down his multi-year prison sentence for his probation violation punishment.

According to Tacopina, Meek and the the judge are from the same part of Philly and know some of the same people. Tacopina says the judge suggested to Meek - during a meeting in chambers last year - he do a remake of Boyz II Men's, "On Bended Knee" ... and give her, the judge, a shout-out. Meek thought she was kidding and laughed. Tacopina claims she said, "I'm not kidding," and when Meek refused to do it, she replied ... "Okay, suit yourself." (TMZ)

Over the past few days, everyone from JAY-Z to Rick Ross have rallied for Meek's freedom.
