Kodak Black Indicted In Criminal Sexual Conduct Case, Faces 30 Years Behind Bars
Florida rapper Kodak Black might want to make sure his legal muscle is paid in full these days. A new report claims the Southern hip-hop artist has been indicted by a grand jury on charges of first degree criminal sexual conduct last November according to Twelfth Circuit Solicitor Ed Clements..
According to reports, a trial date has not been set but Black's 2016 incident could land him behind bars for years.
Octave, 20, is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl, who first reported it to her school nurse in Richland County. The school resource officer got involved and made the Florence County Sheriff's Office aware of the allegations. Octave's attorney Beattie Ashmore of Greenville declined comment on the matter when his client was initially arrested. Clements said if Octave is convicted, he faces up to 30 years in prison. The hip-hop artist's record label has already issued a statement on his situation.
Octave was released from jail under probation this past June after serving a month of time for violating parole stemming from other incidents. A trial date has yet to be set following Octave's indictment. When reached for comment, an Atlantic Records representative said, "Atlantic Records is aware of the indictment and it was expected as part of the normal process of the pending case." Pitchfork has reached out to Octave's attorney for further comment. (Pitchfork)
Recently, Kodak celebrated finishing up an anger management course.
