Rick Ross Reveals Convo W/ Meek Mill's Mom: "She Said Some Powerful Things To Me"

Maybach Music Group's Rick Ross is keeping hope alive for his jailed protégé. The rap star recently talked about dealing with Meek Mill having to deal with a two-year prison sentence.

According to Yung Renzel, Meek's mother has remained upbeat and positive despite her son's legal nightmare.

"When I sat with Meek's mom, you know, she got said some powerful things to me and all eyes around us, make sure we all stay positive and that's what we're going to do, we're going to stay positive, and just hold Meek down, we're here and it's most definitely an injustice. He done did over a decade without a new crime. You know, whatever the f*ck could you ask for?" (Tim Westwood TV)

"Al Sharpton met with #MeekMill behind bars, and says the rapper told him he wanted to serve as a vessel of change for others who are wrongly imprisoned ... like he is now. Al appeared Monday alongside Meek's attorney, Joe Tacopina, to address his prison visit with the guy he promised to help, and he says Meek wants him to help shed a light on a broken criminal justice system. Al says Meek is also determined to be a voice for the voiceless. The civil rights leader explained that Meek appears determined, strong and without a trace of bitterness after being sentenced to prison for 2 to 4 years for violating his probation ... violations that Al says weren't pursued as crimes, but punished as such, regardless. He also talked about his time going to bat for Tupac Shakur in the '90s to help get him out of solitary confinement, explaining how he's the right guy to help Meek fight his case now.Sounds like Al's officially in Meek's corner." #TMZ

Earlier the same day, buzz developed about Sharpton coming to Meek's defense.

Civil rights leader Reverend Al Sharpton is expected to visit Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill in a Chester, Delaware County prison on Monday. The hip hop star's attorneys claim the judge's sentence was too harsh, adding that the District Attorney's office did not recommend any jail time for the probation violation. (6 ABC News)
