Snoop Dogg Did What Everyone Else Had To For JAY-Z's 4:44: "I Don't Got TIDAL So..." [Video]

West Coast rap veteran Snoop Dogg is more live the average, hard-working hip-hop head than most people think. The legend went to social media this week to speak on JAY-Z putting out his highly-praised 4:44 studio release.

A new Instagram clip has gone viral of Snoop admitting he had to get his hands on JAY's TIDAL exclusive through a connect.

"Top of the morning. I wanna shoot a shout-out to JAY-Z, just dropped another motherf*cking hot album. 4-4-4, 4-4-4. But you know what? I don't got TIDAL so a n*gga had to bootleg it to me. I'm on iTunes and sh*t, cuz. I don't understand that, y'all gotta explain that to me. I went to iTunes and couldn't find it. But my homie sent it to me. Shout-out to JAY-Z, my n*gga. He did it again. See, I ain't no hater. I love the game for what it's worth. The young n*ggas and the old n*ggas. Practice that. Practice showing love. Practice supporting other motherf*ckers other than yourself. Yeah, do that."

Recent reports claimed 4:44 would land on Apple Music in the coming days.

A source confirmed that 4:44 will be added to Apple Music/iTunes next week after its one-week exclusivity window on Tidal; the songs also streamed on 160 iHeartRadio stations across the U.S. after 4:44's release and they will air until midnight on July 1 on the network's Urban and Rhythmic formats. The exclusive is part of a $200 million deal the carrier signed with Tidal earlier this year. (Billboard)

Reports also suggest 4:44 will eventually arrive in physical formats.

A source close to the project also said that a physical release is eventually planned, though no timetable has been set yet for that roll-out. That source also confirmed that fans need to sign up for Sprint service in order to get the album if they are not already Tidal subscribers. (Billboard)
