Tom Brady Pens Super Bowl Loss Message, Target Wants To Pressure Labels After Best Buy/CDs Move, Pro

Fresh Friday. It's a day to feel the freshness SOHH why not start things off with Tom Brady penning a long af Super Bowl LII message? Speaking of randomness, how about Target trying to low-key put pressure on record labels amid Best Buy deciding to rid itself of CDs? Getting back to the music, is Project Pat low-key a Drake fan amid flow-jacking speculation? All this coming up in SOHH Whatcha Think.

1. On To The Next One

Does Tom Brady really feel the need to pen words about what happened in Super Bowl LII? Let's face it, he's the G.O.A.T., has the rings to prove it and the fact he's been to 8 Super Bowls speaks volumes. But with a reality TV show and the need to stay in the public's eye, he addressed what went down at last Sunday's championship game. Tom Brady's IG has the words:

It has taken me a few days to reflect on our SB loss as well as the great season our team had. There are many emotions when you come up short of your goal. And they are all part of learning and growing in this journey of life. Learning turns everything into a postitive. And the number one feeling I have had the past 4 days is gratitude. Gratitude to my teammates for the incredible effort given all season regardless of the challenges we faced. Gratitude toward my coaches for the effort and sacrifice they make to put us players in the best position to win. Gratitude to the NEP organization for supporting us on our very challenging and difficult journey. Gratitude to the Philadelphia Eagles team and organization for bringing out the best in us and being gracious winners (as well as congratulations on winning the championship) Gratitude toward our fans who showed up every week to cheer us on and commit their time and energy and love and support to what our goals are. And gratitude to my family and friends who continue to love and support my dreams. Thank you all. I love you all. Best, Tom

Did Tom Brady need to put this out? Did you read the whole thing? Is this genuine or politics? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

2. Those Were The Days

Keep it 100 - aren't you surprised CDs have lasted this long? Spotify has held things down for years but since 2015 we've had Apple Music and TIDAL really taking over streaming. Not only there, but you have YouTube/Google Play Music, Amazon Music and a few other top-tier services which have made the struggle of going out to buy music a thing of the past. Turns out with Best Buy getting ready to stop selling CDs by July, Target is making it tougher for record labels. Billboard is on it:

@justintimberlake’s surprise #TargetRun is one for the record books! Check his Instagram for all the deets. 🙌 🎶 #ManOfTheWoods #MOTW

Best Buy has just told music suppliers that it will pull CDs from its stores come July 1. At one point, Best Buy was the most powerful music merchandiser in the U.S., but nowadays it's a shadow of its former self, with a reduced and shoddy offering of CDs. Meanwhile, sources say that Target has demanded to music suppliers that it wants to be sold on what amounts to a consignment basis. Currently, Target takes the inventory risk by agreeing to pay for any goods it is shipped within 60 days, and must pay to ship back unsold CDs for credit. With consignment, the inventory risk shifts back to the labels. (Billboard)

Are you here for the power move? Think this will shake things up? Will record labels start falling back on sending CDs to stores like Target? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

3. Project God

Is there any tension between Drake and Project Pat? You wouldn't think so but there's speculation Drizzy might have jacked Pat's flow for his new "Look Alive" bnager. Nah, right? But in case you believe the hype, it's a known fact Project messes with Drake. Akadmiks is on it:

For the record and being fair... #projectpat f*cks with #drake . ( see earlier post asking if #drake bit #projectpat flow or was showing love to him on his verse on Memphis artist “Blocboy JB” #lookalive )!

Do you think there's a real argument here? Should Drake pay homage? Is this reaching? #SOHHWhatchaThink?

That wraps it up for today. This is SOHH On The Spot giving you the scoop from your fave gossip sites.
