William Norwood Jr. was born in McComb, Mississippi. His older sister Brandy is a recording artist who has won multiple platinum awards. When he was a child, he and his family moved from McComb, Mississippi, to Los Angeles, California. In 1989, he started to be in TV ads for different brands.
