Brooklyn Pastor Robbed During Church Service Says Most Of His Jewelry Wasn't Insured & The Robbery Wasn't A Set Up: The Truth Is Gonna Come Out When These Young Men Get Captured
Bishop Lamor Whitehead is adamant that despite what some may think, he's telling the truth!
Recently, rapper Fat Joe interviewed Bishop Lamor Whitehead on Instagram live to reveal the tea about what transpired while he was robbed of almost $1 million in jewelry during his Sunday sermon. During the chat, Fat Joe addressed the elephant in the room and asked Bishop Lamor Whitehead if he had a warranty on the stolen pieces. Whitehead said:
"I can't get into that, that's legal, I can't get into that Joe. I can't get into that man. That's for legal purposes."
"You know what Joe? Ima tell you like this, I'm gonna answer it for you Joe, right because you my bro right? The majority of the pieces was not insured. The majority of the pieces was not insured and the majority of - because I had just changed up and bought some new - and I ain't have time to insure it so about two pieces was insured. I'm keeping it real with you man, I think two or three pieces was insured, that's it."
Fat Joe, born Joseph Antonio Cartagena, then questioned if the church robbery was staged. The rapper talked to neighborhood citizens and police officers about the crazy incident. The 51-year-old said:
"I asked a couple of cops, there were like 'yo, that sh*t was a set up, nobody violates the church.'
"Lemme tell you why people don't believe that this could just happen, because of what the media did. The media 'oh he was convicted' They start all the negative press. All the negative press to break down who I am and who I was allegedly and now people saying 'yo' The streets saying 'that's a violation to the church. So therefore he was upstate before, he was in the streets before, you know what? This don't sound right.' So it was a narrative that was built. "
The 44-year-old continued:
"At the end of the day the truth is gonna come out when these young men get captured."
"And I been praying for them. I forgive them. If they came and said 'we need prayer,' I would pray with them cause at the end of the day we all make mistakes and that was a grave mistake that they made. And at the end of the day who am I not to forgive? Like I wasn't a sinner?"
As previously reported Whitehead and his wife were robbed during his sermon on Sunday (July 24). According to sources, the three masked gunmen also placed a gun to Whitehead's daughter's face. Whitehead got down on the floor before the robbers came to grab the jewelry valued at $1 million. In the past, Whitehead spent five years behind bars for identity theft and grand larceny.
