Rod Wave Reportedly Charged With Battery By Strangulation Following Florida Arrest

It looks like Rod Wave found himself in some hot water in the early hours of Monday morning.

Arrest records show that St. Petersburg police took the rapper into custody just after midnight on May 2. He is currently being held on felony battery by strangulation charges in an Osceola County jail. Further details surrounding the arrest and the alleged victim have not been released.

Late Sunday, Rod Wave, whose given name is Rodarius Marcell Green, posted a video selfie with police lights reflecting off of his facing, saying, "This is lame, this is why I don't even come here," before the video cuts off.
