Deshaun Watson Donates 1st Game Check to Stadium Workers Affected by Hurricane
Add another name to the list of NFL players who are stepping up in a big way during a time of need. Houston Texans, rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson has opened up his heart and his wallet, donating his first game check to stadium staff who were affected by Hurricane Harvey.
Watson, 22, donated his first paycheck to three cafeteria workers at NRG Stadium. All three suffered major losses due to the storm.
"You never complain," Watson told them, "and I really appreciate y'all." He also thanked the women for all they do and offered additional assistance.
Deshaun Watson may only be a rookie, but he is showing everyone exactly how to be a great professional and role model.
