Kendrick Lamar Wins Pulitzer Prize for 'Damn'

Kendrick Lamar is officially a Pulitzer Prize winner. The rapper won the prestigious award for his album "Damn", which came out April 14, 2017.  While Kendrick is no stranger to winning awards, the album also won the Grammy for Best Rap Album, it is the first time that a non-classical or jazz album has won the Pulitzer for music in it's 75 year history.OmazeThe Pulitzer board deemed the album "a virtuosic song collection unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life."

Congrats K-Dot on this tremendous accomplishment.
