
White Sox Lose to Tigers - Alex Faedo struck out a career-high 10 batters in six innings and the Detroit Tigers beat the Chicago White Sox 7-2 on Thursday night. Faedo (1-2) has 22 strikeouts and one walk in four starts this season. The 27-year-old right-hander allowed two runs on three hits against the White Sox. Faedo, who started the season in Triple-A, won for the second time in 16 career starts. Lucas Giolito (3-4) matched a career-high with seven walks and was tagged for four runs in 3 2/3 innings. Cubs Lose to Mets - So that's what it's supposed to look like. After two days of struggling through the late spring Chicago chill, the Mets appeared to be a different team on Thursday night in a 10-1 blowout of the Cubs. They recorded 15 hits, their second-highest total of the season (and their highest in nearly a full calendar month). They received strong pitching, most notably from Carlos Carrasco. And they combined it all to salvage their final game at Wrigley Field after losing two in a row.
