Chicago Sports Recap - 9/15/20

White Sox vs. Twins: Dane Dunning had made four career starts prior to taking the mound for the White Sox during a 6-2 win against the Twins on Tuesday night at Guaranteed Rate Field. Two of those starts came against the Royals, and one each were against the Tigers and Pirates, three teams Chicago finished a combined 21-3 against this season. But a decided step up in competition did not bother the rookie right-hander. Click below to read more:

Cubs vs. Indians: I was getting ready to criticize the Cubs in this recap for bad baserunning choices in this game (Ian Happ, caught stealing; Willson Contreras, out trying to take an extra base). But then Javier Baez did some vintage Javy things on the basepaths, and despite a blown save by Jeremy Jeffress, just his second of the year, the Cubs pulled out a 6-5 win when Cameron Maybin was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth.
