Gronkowski Retires after 11 NFL Seasons

For a second time, Rob Gronkowski is calling it quits.  The five-time Pro Bowl and four-time All-Pro tight end, known as much for his big personality as his proficiency on the football field, announced his retirement from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While he doesn't top the career list in any statistical category, a strong case can be made that no tight end in the history of football impacted the game more than he did. Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzalez revolutionized tight end play as elite offensive weapons. Gronkowski took the position to a new level while setting the stage for players like Travis Kelce and George Kittle behind him.
