Man Who Robbed Rihanna's L.A. Home Sentenced To Nine Years In Prison
Rihanna is finally getting justice for her home.
In 2018, Rihanna's L.A. based home was reportedly burglarized. Now, over two years later, the billionaire can rest easy knowing the culprit is behind bars.
On Thursday, Oct. 7th, 2021, Tyress Williams, 22, was sentenced to nine years in prison after he was found guilty for a string of robberies that included the homes of Rihanna, singer and actress Christina Milian, and athletes Yaisel Puig and Robert Woods.
Tyress, who was 19 at the time, was one of four, who allegedly targeted actors, musicians, and Hollywood executives. The group, which consisted of Jshawne Daniels, Damaji Hall, and Hall's mother Ashle, reportedly studied their target's tour schedules and social media, in order to break into their homes when presumed empty. A search warrant of their home uncovered more than $50,000 in cash, plus watches, jewelry and designer purses.
Despite the setback, Rihanna never allowed the negativity to slow her down. After becoming a billionaire earlier this year, the entrepreneur is currently preparing to open a Savage X Fenty physical store.
In a statement, Christiane Pendarvis, co-president and chief merchandising and design officer, said,
"So you will absolutely see some stores in 2022. Can't tell you exactly when. I can tell you exactly where but we're incredibly excited about bringing this brand."
