Kanye West Says He's Moving Back To Chicago & He's Never Leaving Again
Sounds like Kanye West has had enough of that California life, y'all! We don't know how Kim Kardashian feels about this yet, but Ye said he's ready to move back to Chi-Town!
Kanye revealed his plans to return to his home city of Chicago during an open mic event at the Harold Washington Library Center with high schoolers last night. "I've got to let you all know, that I'm moving back to Chicago," he said. "I'm never leaving again."
After his announcement, the crowd went crazy and started chanting, "Kanye! Kanye! Kanye! Kanye!"
During the same event, Kanye revealed that he's working "on a brand new album" with Chance the Rapper and thanked the "No Problem" rapper for bringing him back home again. "I want to thank my brother Chance for bringing me back to Chicago," Kanye said.
According to TMZ, Yeezy will allegedly move his business offices from Calabasas to Chicago, which is where his non-profit Donda's House is located. You guys may remember back in May, Donda's House, the foundation co-founded by Kanye West, tried to dissociate itself from the rapper after his remarks about slavery and Donald Trump. The nonprofit was created in honor of the Kanye's late mother, but they said Ye's pro-Trump tweets were messing up their donations and support.
"Over the last few months due to Kanye's statements and tweets, we have fielded requests for interviews and statements... While we cannot and do not speak for Kanye West and his views, we can and will speak up for the youth that we serve," the foundation wrote. "We ask that those who feel hurt, angered by or frustrated with Kanye West not penalize or throw away their support, respect and advocacy for us."
In related news, Kanye West will be the musical guest for the "Saturday Night Live" season premiere on September 29th with host Adam Driver.
