TYLER PERRY Sued For Copyright Infringement

A lawsuit filed on Wednesday 2-3-10 in a Los Angeles federal court in by songwriter Johnny Tyrone Stringfield claims that characters from the show "Meet The Browns" recited lyrics from his 2008 song "I Got Away" without permission.

The song was copyrighted in 2008 and Stringfield claims Perry and his production company behind the show owe him more than $100,000 for the unauthorized use of his lyrics.

No comment has been issued by Perry's company as of 2-7-10.
