More About DJ Rasta Root
With a music library encompassing countless genres and an uncanny knack to play the right music for any crowd, Rasta Root has been rocking the decks for over 15 years. He attributes his eclectic style and ability to read his audience to a three year DJ tour of Japan. While performing at various venues and concerts he learned the importance of appealing to both his Japanese and American audiences. Today he takes that same approach to every performance by analyzing each audience and playing the music that crowd wants to hear. Originally from Canada, Roots relocated to Atlanta where he found success on the radio, club, and corporate event scene. Also an accomplished producer, he owns a production label, Smokin’ Needles Records, and has composed tracks for the Dallas Mavericks’ and was hand selected to attend the Red Bull Music Academy in Rome, Italy.
