More About Rochelle JordanAt first glance Rochelle Jordan seems more like a model than a singer, but when asked about music the 5’10 Toronto native can give you a conversation for hours…her love for music is obvious. Rochelle started singing as child trying to emulate what she saw from 90’s RNB acts such as Aaliyah, Kelis, Nicole Wray, TLC, 702 and Missy Elliot. Pursing this dream as a teenager landed her a by chance meeting with Toronto Producer “D10” who happens to be the same producer that produced Drake out of Toronto. D10 offered Rochelle the chance to sing backup for another rising star at the time Keisha Chante… That experience made Rochelle realize that she could really do the same thing and started making the transition from backup to lead.
She created a youtube account and started doing covers of her favorite songs… after 1 year Rochelle was contacted by LA area producer Klash and promptly flown out to Los Angeles to start work. That was 3 years ago. With her 2010 summer release “AlienPhase” Rojo garnered the attention of heavyweights like William Morris ( WME ) Sony, Universal Music Group ( UMG ) and even Paris Hilton. Now Rochelle Jordan is gearing up for her second and third EPs all recorded at Thud Studios in Los Angeles. Rochelle’s Sound is a hybrid between Kelis, Aaliyah, and Amerie and if you are simply a fan of RNB music then Rochelle Jordan is a must listen.
