She is a graduate of LeTourneau University. She is a native of Orange, Texas and currently resides in Plano, Texas. Meiah Shaun is the author of Marvelous Are Thy Works, a novella. Meiah Shaun has a special interest in empowering African American women to self love and to embrace their natural hair. She and her twin sister rock Sisterlocks. Her fraternal twin sister is thirteen minutes older than her. Meiah Shaun is featured on Ezinearticles.com as a platinum level author penning articles on numerous topics such as inspirational, spirituality, goal setting to shopping and product reviews. Meiah Shaun enjoys writing, reading, cooking, jazz music and making scrapbooks. Meiah, tell us about your book? Fatima, her best friend Lauryn and her cousin Sheba are natural hair stylist at All Natural Hair Salon in Washington, DC. Fatima wants to build a brand and invest into other business ventures for their salon. She desires to empower African American women by motivational speaking about the natural hair movement. She desires to travel the country to spread her message. Lauryn and Sheba are not interested in Fatima's business idea. They have their own plans for their futures. They are going through different life events and are struggling to maintain their friendships while doing business together. Fatima's boyfriend, Ephraim hasn't asked for her hand in marriage after five years of dating. Fatima has to follow her instincts as she moves into her destiny. How did you come up with idea for this book? My inspiration behind Marvelous Are Thy Works is that I identify with my protagonist Fatima Williams as I love encouraging African American women to accept and wear their natural hair. Like Fatima, I have worked in real estate, was formerly a vegetarian and I have dated an African man. She and I have a few things in common. What was the most difficult aspect of writing this book? I had no idea in the beginning how long it would take me to complete my book. I worked on my novella for over two years. Why do you write? For me, writing is spiritual. I pray before I sit down to write. I ask God for direction and for him to use me as a vessel to bless and inspire others. What valuable lessons do you want readers to learn from your book? I want enlightened African American women about going natural as it is a personal choice. I hope my readers resonate with my protagonist, Fatima Williams who is a visionary and pursues her passion. I believe that Fatima is relatable to most women who want a prosperous life filled with success, love and happiness. Who are your favorite authors? I enjoy reading inspirational authors such as Bishop TD Jakes, Joyce Meyer, Beth Moore and Joel Osteen. However, some of my favorite fictional authors are Lori Tharps, Norma L. Jarrett and Rhonda McKnight. What book(s) are you reading now? I've been studying my pastor Bishop T.D. Jakes's book called Instinct. What books have most influenced your life? I read the Bible to study the word of God which gives me strength and revelation. Also, another book that has influenced me is by R.G. LeTourneau called Mover of Men and Mountains. I read the book while I was a student at LeTourneau University. The book taught me how to use biblical principles in my business engagements and in building relationships. If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor? I am a fan of author, Lori Tharps. I read her books: Kinky Gazpacho and Hair Story, Untangling the Roots of Black Hair in America while I was going natural several years ago. I was inspired by her books. During that time, I was researching answers for my hair loss and breakage due to chemical relaxers. Any advice to give to aspiring writers? My advice is to go for it! We all have a story to tell.

Buy Links: Amazon: ebook: http://amzn.to/1qCCnc1 Amazon: paperback: http://amzn.to/1xfhlaL ABOUT THE BOOK: Fatima, her best friend Lauryn and her cousin Sheba are natural hair stylist at All Natural Hair Salon in Washington, DC. Fatima made it to the salon at ten o'clock that morning. After parking her car in front of the salon, she noticed Lauryn and Sheba were already inside. The front window shades were pulled back and the lights were on. "Good morning, ladies," Fatima said as she walked through the door. "Good morning, Fatima," Lauryn answered, while sashaying to her workstation in her high heels and locs pulled back into a lobster tail style. Always the diva, Lauryn appeared to be in a good mood and eager to work. "Hey, girl, you finally made it in," Sheba said as she sorted through her laundry bag of towels. Her hair was loose in a kinky and curly twist-out hairstyle. She was dressed comfortably in white skinny jeans. "Are there any messages for me?" Fatima asked. "A young lady called to make an appointment. She requested a low maintenance hairstyle." "What time did she call?" Fatima inquired. "She called a few minutes before you walked in," Lauryn replied. "She said her name was Danielle Evans." "Did she leave her phone number?" "I put it on your desk," she said. Fatima continued to her station so she could check her itinerary for the day. It was unusually free. "I'll just work a half day and meet up with my honey later," she told her co-workers. Fatima then sat in her chair and started daydreaming about the day she would become Mrs. Ephraim Okoye. She could not wait to see him. "Ladies, what are your plans today?" Fatima questioned. "I have a couple of appointments for locs retightening, and I got a new client scheduled this morning. He's a chef and new in town." Lauryn smirked while doing a shimmy with her shoulders to show her excitement. "A new male client? Girl, you be pullin' the men," teased Sheba. "I need to pull a husband." "Baby, I met my husband when I wasn't even lookin'. I was minding my own business down at the Farmer's Market and--" Lauryn rolled her eyes. "Sheba, you've told that story so many times," she said, cutting Sheba off and looking down at her iPad to show her disinterest in hearing it again. Sheba walked over to Lauryn and tapped her on the knee with her forefinger. "When you least expect it, that's when you're gonna meet him. It happened to me, girl!" "I wish God would hurry up and send him!" Lauryn snipped. "Most married people forget what it's like to be single, so it's easy for them to tell someone else to be patient." "That's not true," Sheba replied. Fatima butted in. "Some women who are married have never had to experience being single for long." "Don't you just hate that, girl?" Lauryn said. "Then they try to tell you to wait and have faith. Chile, please!"
Watch Video on YouTube
Tagged: #JSYD Jump Start Your Day Blog, Amazon, Blogger, bloggers, Book recommendations, book tour, Books, FAB Virtual Book Tours, Marvelous are thy works, Meiah Shaun, New Release

via: http://faithabeliever.wordpress.com/2014/11/20/newrelease-marvelous-are-thy-works-a-novella-by-meiah-shaun/38633#NewRelease Marvelous Are Thy Works a Novella by Meiah Shaun, Uncategorized, #JSYD Jump Start Your Dblogs/11-2014/38633-newrelease-marvelous-s.jpg#NewRelease Diligence The Master Key To Achieving Your Dreams by 3x's Bestselling Author Sheldon D. http://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/faithabeliever-newrelease-diligence-master-key-achieving-your-dreams/features/blogs/faithabeliever-newrelease-diligence-master-key-achieving-your-dreams/Posted by faithabeliever0http://www.blackvibes.com/features/blogs/faithabeliever-newrelease-diligence-master-key-achieving-your-dreams/#commentsMon, 10 Nov 2014 01:00 GMTABOUT THE AUTHOR Sheldon D. His mission is to share with others keys which will enable them to discover their true purpose, overcome life's challenges and live victoriously. Sheldon lives in Nassau, with his wife and two children. Sheldon, tell us about your book? Many people make New Year's Resolutions year after year. And sadly, they keep making the same resolutions because they failed to reach their goals the year before. Failure is the result of broken focus. "Diligence, The Master Key To Achieving Your Goals" is written to show people how they can reach their goals and some of them, sooner than they may think possible. It teaches how to master procrastination and pursue our dreams with focus, persistence and determination. If we learn to keep the main thing the main thing, we will find that things happen for us and in our favor more often than not. How did you come up with idea for this book? I had written on the subject of diligence before, and felt ready to write a new one. While doing so, Diligence, The Master Key To Achieving Your Dreams, just came to me by inspiration and I began to write down practical ways people can reach their goals. What was the most difficult aspect of writing this book? Simply finding the time to write. This can be difficult when we have to factor in family and church work. What valuable lessons do you want readers to learn from your book? The main lesson I would like for people to understand is that we are all capable of far more than many of us have even dared to dream. God has made us unique and we all have something to contribute to the welfare of humanity. It is my prayer that people understand this and walk out their true purpose in this earth. Who are your favorite authors? Some of my favorite authors are Dr. Myles Munroe, Kenneth E. Hagin, Gloria Copeland, Kenneth Copeland, Jerry Savelle, Jack Canfield, Smith Wigglesworth, Roberts Liardon, Oral Roberts, John Maxwell What book(s) are you reading now? Orals Roberts book, The Ultimate Voice What books have most influenced your life? I would have to say that books by Kenneth E. Hagin on faith, Gloria Copeland on Walking in the Spirit, Kenneth Copeland on Walking in God's Love, Roberts Liardon, God's Generals, Dr. Myles Munroe on Purpose, and Smith Wigglesworth are some of my favorites. Also, John Maxwell's book on Thinking For A Change is really good. Most of all, my Bible is my all time favorite. It is here that I get my greatest inspiration, even regarding with issues to write about to help people find purpose and meaning in life. If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor? I would have to say, Dr. Myles Munroe. To me, he is an out-standing leader and motivator for writers and ministers like me. He is diligent and very, very focused on his mission and purpose in life, and I constantly learn from him. Any advice to give to aspiring writers? Yes. Stop procrastinating and get your book done. You can do it. And there are people who may need what you have to share. So get over your fear of yourself and write that book that is in your heart and then get it out there where it can inspire, encourage and motivate a generation for good. Why do you write? First of all, I write because I believe I have a God given gift to communicate through the printed page. Secondly I write to help others be or become all they were born to be. God has placed gifts and abilities within all of us. A part of my purpose is to show people how to develop and walk in the gifts. And thirdly, to help people receive all that God has provided for them.

ABOUT THE BOOK Diligence The Master Key To Achieving Your Dreams by Bestselling Author Sheldon D. She has been a practicing RN for over 10 years, gaining extensive knowledge and skills caring for people facing a variety of medical challenges in health care. She has worked in hospitals and nursing homes where she thoroughly enjoys working with all client age groups. She is specialized in Trauma Nursing as an Emergency Room nurse. Anita's first solo book, Become Absolutely You - Unleash Your Limits and Become Your Full Potential will be released shortly. As a Certified Life Coach, Anita has gained more clarity about her own passion of empowering others. Anita has mentored and coached people from the music and television industries, health care workers, entrepreneurs, social media, career transitions, Realtors, etc. She provides career coaching to new graduates entering the competitive job market, as well as resume and cover letter packages. Anita is the CEO and Owner of her company Anita Sechesky - Living Without Limitations. Her vision for her company is to empower and inspire others to live their lives without limitations such as false beliefs, grief, past failures, broken dreams, struggling relationships, finding your identity, lost hope, health conditions, lies, and labels placed on by others. In the past, Anita faced many things which she had to find the strength and courage within herself to overcome. She has eagerly embraced opportunities of advancement that life presented, many times having to deal with the negativity or limitations placed on her by others. Anita recalls when she was a young girl growing up in a small community in North-western Ontario, Canada, that not everyone she met in life looked at her equally. Not everyone was nice, kind, or as supportive as she expected them to be. Anita eventually came to understand that this was the reality of a world of broken people. An individual cannot be expected to give love, compassion, empathy, kindness, or encouragement if they have not truly experienced unconditional love and acceptance themselves. Anita, tell us about your book? My book is an Anthology- it is comprised of multiple co-authors who are guided by my vision for the book, and my expertise through the writing process. How did you come up with idea for this book? My idea/vision for this particular book lines up with my vision and purpose in life. I believe that people needed to be loved and understood. As they are valued they will rise up and become all they are purposed for as well. What was the most difficult aspect of writing this book? The most difficult challenge is managing the time to be available 24/7 for my co-authors. As I am a person who needs to address everything I am involved in and give it my full attention. What valuable lessons do you want readers to learn from your book? I would love my readers to gain a new perspective they may have never thought of before. The biggest take away would be for them to be inspired to never give up on themselves and begin to be motivated once more. Who are your favorite authors? Joyce Meyers, Tony Robbins, Joel Osteen just to name a few...getting my own co-authors in all 3 of my books....all 74 of them. What book(s) are you reading now? Presently, I am not reading any books, but I do have a list that I will be pursuing after my 2 books are released on the 24th and my 1st solo book Absolutely You: Overcome False Limitations & Reach Your Full Potential on November 15th. What books have most influenced your life? The Bible, Mother Goose, Nancy Drew books, The Hardy Boys, V. C Andrews, My Book House library, Many, many text books. If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor? I would choose Joel Osteen, because I admire his positivity and faith to not give up on his dream to help others understand how fulfilling and freeing it is to just be yourself. Any advice to give to aspiring writers? I encourage aspiring writers to follow their hearts and allow it to express itself. Writing has been very healthy for me to express my feelings. I don't expect people to change anything but to have a freedom to live their lives in a more happy and satisfying way that helps them to make better choices in life. We all get to choose what we will allow to define us. Why do you write? I started writing poetry to help myself shift my emotions when going through difficult times in my life. Writing self-help books with my experience and training became a natural extension of what I already do.

ABOUT THE BOOK #LOVE: A New Generation Of Hope {Anthology} will empower, and inspire you to create a life of Gratitude. You will understand what others have been through in their own journey's to find the life they love and have been waiting for. Many times we as individuals do not appreciate this life we have, while someone closer than we realize may be struggling to just survive. After reading the book, the person should be able to minimize the intensity of the struggles they are facing and realize victory. Is there any other insight readers of your book can hope to gain? Yes. Readers of Transformation: Give Up the Struggle will be able to differentiate between challenges that are necessary pieces of the journey to aid them in becoming stronger and wiser; or mere self inflicted confrontations that could have been avoided. What inspired you to write this book? My own personal situations and the struggles of close friends was my inspiration to write Transformation: Give Up the Struggle. I found it imperative that people have something that could fortify their circumstances. I was reading a book at the time that did not give me the feeling of satisfaction that came from laying my own words down on the paper. This is how the book came to be. I simply sat down one day and started writing. Transcribing my thoughts made me feel as if a heavy stone was lifted from my shoulders. This is how I know God needed me to write and share this with people. God uses people to communicate wisdom and knowledge to others. I was a "Chosen One" so to speak to deliver an uplifting message. What was the most difficult aspect of writing Transformation: Give up the Struggle? The most difficult thing for me, was I had to reveal my emotions. In order to write the book with heartfelt meaning, it was necessary for me to look inside myself. In doing so, it caused me to recognize my pain; the suffering I had internalized. Through my writing, I was able to find myself. Why do you continue to write? Other than the fact that I found my healing while writing, I do it to share stories that can give others examples of how to heal themselves. Encouraging people to transform their thinking into a more positive manner is something that gives me tremendous gratification. Are there any valuable lessons you would like people to gain from reading your book? Yes. I want readers to know that they can have a happy, healthy life. When a person begins to utilize affirmations, it becomes a part of the thought process that reprograms the brain. This in turn can have remarkable positive effects on the mind, body, and soul. They will begin to develop a resistance to giving in to life's challenges thus making them stronger; having more endurance when dealing with obstacles. Who are some of your favorite Authors? Joyce Meyer, Max Lucado, and Bishop T.D. Jakes are my favorite Authors. Are you currently reading any books? Not at the moment. I have been spending quite a bit of time in prayer and meditation for upcoming events that will be a great benefit to my audience. When you do take time to read, what type of books have the most influence for you as an Author? Books that have the greatest persuasion for me are Spiritual and Self-Help genres.

About The Book We all have had our ups and downs in our lives, some more than others. But, how we end up in the end, determines how we actually see the storms. The storms helps us to change to a better and stronger person. Resisting change can make the obstacles, the hindrances and the storms become more unbearable. However, if we choose to view them in a different light, change can move us into bigger and better job, or a more rewarding loving relationship-it indeed can make us better. The affirmations presented in this book can be a turning point in your life. View hardships as helpers to a stronger you. See obstacles as ripples in a pond as you move closer to your victory. Discover that hindrances are hurdles that make you jump above the clouds. See the valleys are mere lessons that will release you from your past and help the brokenness.
Watch Video on YouTube
Order Transformations Give Up The Struggle! Amazon Book Review If you have read the book, please we do encourage posting book reviews on Amazon.com and other online bookstores.

Follow Bestselling Author Renee Wiggins FAB Virtual Book Tour...Great things are happening for ?#?Transformations? ?#?FABVTours? => http://bit.ly/1rQKT6G Let's Get Social! She has served in several capacities in the Church including teaching Sunday school for youth and adults, developing discipleship curriculum, and using her gifts to exemplify excellence in administration, organization, planning, as well as graphic and web design. Cheryl, tell us about your book? It's way too common; the woman who simply exists instead of living a life that fulfills her. She is laden with guilt whenever she thinks about giving to herself, so she does what she knows best - takes care of others and neglects her own needs and desires. Those dreams she had before "life happened" are buried deep in her mind and soul. She's living her life all over the place, but nowhere at the same time. "Have Your Cake & Eat it Too" is a sassy, easy-to-read guide will help you to be happy, successful, and satisfied. It will change the way you look at your relationships, and your career, and it will connect you to your power to change your life. How did you come up with the idea for this book? The topic of the book began as a seminar talk for my Permission Granted annual women's empowerment seminar. Over the years, the topic became popular and the most requested so I decided to turn the message into a book so that I can empower more women who are tired of the status quo! What was the most difficult aspect of writing this book? The difficult part of the writing the book is dedicating the time to do it. The book says that there is no where the Lord cannot hear your prayers, it's all about believing and taking the right actions. This book says faith comes by hearing and hearing of the words of the Lord and most importantly understanding what the Lord is communicating to you. And when the Lord is heard, it must come with power and conviction as it makes the word of God productive in someone's life. The story is all about faith with Faith being the main character. This is the first installment of a series 'Faith The Next Generation.' What truly motivates you in general? In your writing? To inspire is to take that fire within from a flicker, to a flame giving you the confidence to progress. All of us need inspiration to drive and move forward in this journey we call life, my personal quest and the various moments of learning during my very own journey in life have been the inspiration for this book, which is extremely dear to my heart. I sincerely pray that my book is able to reach out to the very hearts of my readers and inspire them to take that first step forward to do the things that they have never done before, to live the life they only dreamed of doing and enabling them to fulfill their purpose. What are some of your favorite things to do? During my down time you may find me in the kitchen cooking some down home meals or spending time with family and friends. Having that Granmy-Gram time with my Granddaughter, or you may even find me at the salon pampering myself, or shopping and giving back to myself. It's so important to have balance and building relationships. Do you have a favorite author? There are so many great authors; I enjoy that it's hard for me to really narrow it down to one: Michele Andrea Bowen, Kimberla Lawson Roby, Bishop T.D. Jakes, and Dr. Maya Angelou are just a few of the authors that I enjoy. What is the most rewarding thing about being a writer? The first rewarding for me as a writer is the connection with my reader's. The second most rewarding is knowing that my work can reach all parts of the world. My good friend and fellow Bestselling Author; LaCricia A `ngelle said it best "My books can go where I may not be able to go physically." To be able to give a word of inspiration of hope, love and faith for others to move and drive forward in this journey of LIFE...Is an awesome feeling. Are there any words of encouragement for unpublished writers? Yes! I would like to leave these words right from my first book "Spiritual Food for Thought: 31 Inspirational Quotes to Jump Start Your Day," that is this... JUST DO IT!! To move forward, you have to step out the boat. Moving out of complacency and comfort. If you want something you've never had you have to do something you've never done. Moving out of fear and removing all inhibitions being comfortable in WHO you are and WHO'S you are. Let today be the first steps towards your goals, your calling, your deliverance....ultimately your purpose and destiny. ~The Time is Now...Let's Get It Done!!! What can we expect from you in the future? With all that is going on in the world today, people are hungry for words of encouragement and inspiration, and with that said my passion and assignment is to engage, and equip the multitudes and in so doing win souls across the globe through the airways, my writings, and speaking engagements while empowering others to move forward in this journey called LIFE.
Watch Video on YouTube
About The Book

"Faith: Learns The Power Of Prayer" A story about A young girl named Faith, who lived with her grandmother all her life. his brother? Team Keith? Team Michael? How about Team God? Gina Ward has it all: a husband, a child, and all the finer things life have to offer. She doesn't see herself as one of the less fortunate who needs God. But, what happens when her only son, Trey, falls ill? Will she rely on the only one who holds the world in His hands? Keith Ward is a respected minister, but he cannot shake his inappropriate feelings for his brother's wife. When his nephew falls ill, Keith knows he has to drop everything to be by her side. Will he finally find healing for his broken heart? Michael Ward is living the dream life, but life as he knows it changes drastically when his son falls ill. Everything he thought to be truth will be brought into question. What will he do when he realizes he is living one big lie? My Steps Are Ordered, is the Second Installment of "On the Right Path" series promises to keep you turning the pages until the stunning end. Excerpt. It couldn't be. No. It was impossible. Immobilized, Pastor Keith Ward felt suspended in time. His breath caught. His yellow tie, sprinkled with tiny red polka dots, threatened to choke the life out of him. The voices of the choir faded in the distant echo. All around him people praised and rejoiced while Keith felt the scales around his heart chip away. Time stood still. No wonder she'd been on his mind. Even on his way to the podium, Keith had had to repeat scriptures to temper the need that filled his being. His psyche must have known something. Leaning forward, Keith squinted to focus into the distance. That's her all right. She was here. Gina Ward. His brother's wife. And, the mother of Keith's child. Yes, he was a father. Keith's heart slammed into his chest. Its beating sounded like thunder booming to his ears. Gripping the handles, Keith eased his body out of the chair, intent on pursuing the woman who twisted his insides and stole his heart. He had to go to her. As he stood, Keith felt a moment of disorientation; belatedly realizing the crowd was standing and cheering. It seemed as if they were giving him a standing ovation. Flabbergasted, Keith watched Gina leave. All of his thoughts about his sermon left the forefront of his mind. He turned his head to see his assistant, Natalie Henderson, or as he called her, "The Hawk," gesturing towards the podium. She mouthed the words, "Go. Go," with frantic hands. Keith gritted his teeth, clenched his fists and closed his eyes. Lord, help me. Help me. The crowd shouted praises, presuming he was hearing something from God. Summoning every ounce of self-control he possessed, Keith stepped up to the podium. He opened his Bible, worn from use-but he'd refused to get a new one. This one had sentimental value. Then, with authority and anointing, he addressed his parishioners waiting on a word from God.

About The Author Michelle Lindo-Rice enjoys crafting women's fiction with themes centered around the four "F" words: Faith, Friendship, Family and Forgiveness. An Associate minister at The Fountain of Praise, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Remus Wright and Co-Pastor Mia Wright. The founder of Titus Works, Ministries, a vision I believe was downloaded specifically to me from God. This ministry has been created to spread the word freely to ages 25 and up. Titus based on the Word of God in Titus chapter 2, teaches us that the old shall be there to guide the young into a better life with Christ. This ministry strives to do this in a unique way. Through telephone conferences with powerful speakers and topics is keeping it real with people and God. I have been blessed to counsel, motivate, inspire and encourage others that they too can be a living testimony. With all of that said the most important thing she would like for you to know about her, is she loves God with all of her heart and wants nothing more than for God to be pleased with everything she does. Esther, Tell us about your book? Have you been harboring unforgiveness, bitterness, and feelings of self-defeat? Is the guilt of your past hindering your plans for the future? Are you ready to overcome your hidden issues and walk victoriously and unashamed? This inspirational and effective book is a great resource for anyone ready to take their relationship with God to the next level. Through God's Word. This book offers encouragement and hope for healing and freedom. This heartfelt work offers steps to assist in the journey through love and compassion. How did you come up with idea for this book? I was given this assignment to write a book and I thought to myself this has to be me saying this, surely God would not be telling me to write a book. Plus what would I have to write about anyway, I am not an expert on anything, what could I possibly write that would inspire or help another human being. So, I did what most people do, I disregarded the thought of this potential book. But like any assignment that God gives me to do, it would not leave my spirit, so I began to pray about it. Seeking God's opinion on this book, I remember praying, "okay God, if this is truly what you want me to do, then would you at least give me the subject matter of this book?" Not long after that it was revealed to me what God wanted to say to you through this book What was the most difficult aspect of writing this book? In order to write this book it meant writing about some things in my life, that were unpleasant. This of course was something I didn't want to do. The thought of knowing that people would have all my stuff in their hands was a sincere challenge. But God reminded me that not only does he want to free you but he wants to free me as well. Why do you write? I write now because I am so clear of the fact that God wants us to be healed in every area of our lives, He wants us to know what he said through David in Psalm 147 is real, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." He wants to bless us with the freedom to experience the joy, peace and happiness that we so desperately desire to experience. What valuable lessons do you want readers to learn from your book? I would love for the reader to walk away with realizing the dirt under their rug needs to be exposed and swept clean in order that those experiences are no longer an embarrassment or hindrance to their progression, but rather a testimony of God's faithfulness in my life. Allowing God's faithfulness to manifest an experience of true freedom by facing fears, exposing them, taking action to overcome them and learn from them. So, get ready to walk into your freedom. Who are your favorite authors? I really enjoy reading Iyanla Vanzant What book(s) are you reading now? Lost and Found: Finding Hope in the Detours of Life by Sarah Jakes What book(s) have most influenced your life? The Purposed Driven Life, by Rick Warren was one of the first books I read when I got sober and it gave me the inspiration to find a path to not only just be sober, but to be sober with a purpose! If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor? I would choose Iyanla Vanzant, being able to help others at a greater level with changing the behavior and thought process of others is an amazing gift. Not just a gift to have the ability to assist someone in that area, but a gift to the individual who is able to receive it. Any advice to give to aspiring writers? Listen to your inner voice allowing God to lead you in your writing, along with making a commitment to your writing. That book inside of you is a gift to those who God has waiting for you to complete it. Let Him use you!

About The Book Have you been harboring unforgiveness, bitterness, and feelings of self-defeat? him, his failed relationships, led him to believe so. Being a man of stability and control, Eric stoically shunned love; it was too messy-too unstable. This was why he vowed to put as much space as possible, between him and the beautifully intelligent Rayna Peterson. Now, if only his heart would listen. Unexpectedly, fate would force them together, when Rayna is threatened by a hidden evil. He lurks in the darkness, an elusive being. He boldly strikes at the most unusual moments. Eric promised himself that nothing would harm, Rayna, but to keep her safe he would have to spend time around her. Was he willing to risk both his life and heart for her? The Promise Woman Attorney Rayna Peterson always knew she a woman promised for greatness. Her faith was something she took great pride in, but of late the strange and evil occurrences had her doubting, everything familiar to her - and for the first time, she realizes that her faith alone isn't enough to lift her from the pit of doubt. Feeling lost, Rayna unites with Eric. Together they would fight the forces seeking to destroy her and everyone she loved. Would Eric's love be the lift she needed, to restore her shaken faith?

About The Author Vanessa Richardson is an author, poet, and playwright. Rose is back! If Lottie isn't having enough trouble being a newlywed and taking on her duties as the first female African American Senator in her native state of Alabama, her sister Rose is trying to make the moves on her husband, Chaney. Rose has had a crush on Chaney since high school, and it looks like she's not done yet. And in spite of her love for her community and her political pursuits, Lottie has to learn to open her heart and fight for her family. Family, however, is not always what it seems-family is the people who love us. Lottie, the third book in the Lottie Series, follows the murder mystery in Pickin' Ground, and the story of personal and community redemption in In Due Season. Lottie explores the fulfillment of marital love that overcomes selfish ambition, political corruption, and family pain. She is a certified Life Coach and the Founder and CEO of Transformation Coaching, LLC. She also Co-Pastors Holy Transformation Empowerment Center in Raleigh NC with her husband Pastor Burnice Burroughs. Teresia leads women's seminars, tele-sessions and workshops. She is on an empowering mission to help women live the life they were destined to live. Teresia, Tell us about your book? "Polish your Diamond" is a book about teaching women from all walks of life to shine, teaching them how to stay polished and how to be the women they were called to be by changing their mindset to one that's positive, confident and brighter in every area of life. Polish your diamond was written for the young and the older. My book will help women view themselves as God views them, a beautiful brilliant diamond! How did you come up with idea for this book? God instructed me to write this book to encourage and empower women using my life experiences and sharing them. In my life I have been through a lot of hard situations especially in relationships. In my book, I tell about some of those things, I remember being a woman that didn't know who she was, didn't think I was valuable or worth much at all, so I settled for what came my way. So God spoke to me to share with women and help them see themselves as I now see myself, a beautiful shining diamond! What was the most difficult aspect of writing this book? As I mentioned earlier, I have been through some rough bumps in life and as I was writing this book, my mind did go back to my past, the hurt and pain that I endured all because I saw myself way differently than God saw me, so I had some moments that I pondered on and said wow! Look at all you went through!!!! But as I continued to write I know now that all that I went through was to help some women out there that was just like me. So I will never get mad at anyone in my past or feel sorry for myself, im a new woman now and what I have been through has helped me to be stronger and more confident because during those times, I built a strong relationship with God. The past is over and I'm on an empowering mission to help fellow sisters come forth. No more crying and feeling sorry for myself, I'm a beautiful and I now help women to find their shine. Why do you write? I love putting my thoughts on paper, as I write, I just go on and on. God speaks and I write, it's just so peaceful. As I was writing my book, I was set at a page a day, but as I set down in front of my computer, it just flowed so I went with it. I have so much to say and writing it all out helps me and it helps others. It's my way of getting it all out and reloading more in. The more I write the more I get! What valuable lessons do you want readers to learn from your book? After reading my book, women will discover their inner brilliance, elevate their thinking, build their self-esteem and increase their value. Who are your favorite authors? Joyce Meyer and Creflo Dollar What book(s) are you reading now? I'm reading the confident woman by Joyce Meyer and overcoming fear by Creflo Dollar What books have most influenced your life? I have to say that battlefield of the mind by Joyce Meyer has truly influenced my life in a great way, I know now that I can control my thoughts and in doing that I can control my life. I empowered now because I know that I can cast down any thoughts that is not of God, I don't have to receive them if it doesn't have to line up with what God has promised me. I can think on good things and have the victory in every area of my life! If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor? Joyce Meyer, I can relate to her in so many ways, all her book were written in such a way that its well received and every time I read a book she has written I get something great out of it. She's my mentor! Any advice to give to aspiring writers? The advice I would give to aspiring writers is to never give up, always press forward, just stay in constant fellowship with God and he will feed you everything you are to say as you write. As he speak, you write. Never give up! Never give up! Never give up on your dream of becoming a writer.

About The Book Have you lost your shine? Or better yet do you ever remember shining? Do you need a push forward? Do you need to change your mindset? Do you find yourself always settling for less? Always taking the back seat? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this book was written just for you and I want to let you know that God has not forgotten about you. This book will help you see yourself as God sees you, a beautiful diamond! God instructed me to write this book to encourage and empower women from all walks of life to let you know that you are loved and of great value. As a Personal Growth & Development Coach, key aspects of spiritual and emotional healing are always present in consultations and client sessions, so I've gathered them together in this Book. How did you come up with idea for this book? This Book originated from a series of unrelated Blogs that I've written over the years which the Lord instructed me to compile into one place. What was the most difficult aspect of writing this book? The most difficult aspect of writing this Book was my having to be mindful of my own personal experience with the subject matter, throughout the compilation and editing process. Although I am healed and whole from my past situation, the emotions and memories had to be kept in check, so that they didn't spew out in my writing and corrupt the message. Why do you write? Because I must! If I don't write, the words and thoughts just stay jumbled up in my head and then it gets really crowded in there... Because I must! If I don't write, the words and thoughts just stay jumbled up in my head and then it gets really crowded in there... Who are your favorite authors? Although I do not major in fictional writing, I absolutely love African-American fiction. Some of my favorite authors are: Zora Neale Hurston - Toni Morrison- Alice Walker -Brandon Massey- Langston Hughes - Pearl Cleage - Walter Mosley - Ernest Gaines - Octavia Butler - Suzan-Lori Parks What books have most influenced your life? Beyond the Bible, the books that have most influenced my life are Fairy Tales (Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Anderson, etc), the Classics (J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Edgar Allan Poe, Shakespeare, John Bunyan, Hannah Hurnard, Harper Lee) and books by Dr. Suess. I love the creative ways of telling a story; of sharing a message or truth. If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor? The writer that I would consider a mentor would be Maya Angelou, because she not only wrote the words, she lived them and taught the life lessons that she experienced and learned to so many others.

What valuable lessons do you want readers to learn from your book? That in God and His Word there is an answer for every concern... There really is! Any advice to give to aspiring writers? My best suggestion to an aspiring writer is write what excites you. Write what you're passionate about. And, write what you know about. You're creating with words... Create something that you can read back to yourself and say "Now that's good!" Book Review If you have read the book, please we do encourage posting book reviews on Amazon.com and other online bookstores. Let's Get Social! "Tarnished Dreams" started out a journal entry after I had lost custody of my Son, splitting our 2 children at early ages (Daughter 3 and Son 4)! I had prayed about it through out along with my church family and friends. God said no! HE had another plan! This story is a short form of my Journey as a Single Mother and Believer. A story I live daily because it keeps me encouraged to go on, a reminder that life will get hard, but it is preparation for what's ahead. About a year later things began to get very challenging and a child I was taught "What happened in the past stays in the past!" So much of my life I had to just handle the things in my life and I became very dependent on GOD! So on that night after my son was taken from me, I sat at my Word processor at the time! (lol) and I began to write my feelings down and crying the entire time. I didn't realize that it would later be a novel (almost 20 years later). Sharing my Journey one Novel at a time! How did you come up with idea for this book?

The idea came when I was much younger and I wanted to do something to help others know that you can make it! I became very ill in 2011 and lost my jobs, for a year I could barely walk without assistance, I spoke as though I was Special, I could barely hold my head up without assistance for about 7 months and I was have 2 to 5 seizures a week! After losing my job and unable to keep a job because if this Season in my life! Things began to look very slim. I prayed for GOD to Move in a mighty way because I was about to be evicted, Income was slim (Savings/401k depleted, checking overdrawn). I was on a pray call as was told that my story was to be published! Tarnished Dreams had been sitting, drawing dust for about 12 years at this time. So I reluctantly moved forward in publishing! God Sent, person after person to help with little to no cost and within 38 days I was a Published Author! My life was literally an "Open Book"! What was the most difficult aspect of writing this book? The most difficult aspect of writing this book was the Emotions that went with all the Editing and Editing and still Editing! Seriously.. I had zero experience of what to do or how to go about being a Author! Although this part of my life was over and the outcome is Amazing the memories were very challenging at times! I was Mentally exhausted some nights because I had to pray continuously so that I would not get pulled into the moment while writing and adding to each chapter. I had not intention to deface anyone so it was difficult to leave out a lot of things that had occurred and have the story make sense and keep the interest of the reader. Forgiveness was required in the process because I had moved forward from all that had happened in those 18 years! Why do you write? I write to clear my head of the things God has assigned me to do! Ideas, Poems, Sayings and Devotionals! There are so many circumstances, situations and heartaches I have gone through starting at a very young age! God has been the only one for me to share with, my most painful and difficult times in my life. He has walked me through each and every on of them! I would write to know that I am not crazy, if something were to happen to me that my story would be told. The secrets that I was taught should never be told because we were Christians! I battled with this for years and I promised myself that I would remember without hurting so that when my children would not have to carry that load, that burden with them for the rest of their lives! I write because my life is not my Own but the LORDS! My purpose, the reason my life has been kept by HIS Hand is so I can help, encourage and inspire others to KEEP GOING in Christ! What valuable lessons do you want readers to learn from your book? Valuable Lessons I want readers to learn from "Tarnished Dreams" and all that follows! To know that in spite of the choices we make in life and the consciences we endure, whatever journey you are on (divorce, single parenting, abuse, illness, addictions). The path you are traveling, KNOW that God has a plan and He knows what He is doing! To accept and receive Christ as your Savior will require hard, painful events in your life or someone around you! Pray Continuously, Pay Attention to the Voice of God, Trust your Spirit and Be excited to know God LOVE is ETERNAL! I need you to know our lives are not our own and sometimes our Dreams will become Tarnished. Stay focused on the LIFE He has given you and your PURPOSE for Living! I need each of them to see The Strength of a Relationship with a Living and Loving GOD! Who are your favorite authors? Who are my favorite Authors... Wow! That's a hard question! If I had to choose a Favorite it would have to be John C Maxwell! His view on Leadership is great! Max Lucado "Just like Jesus", T. D Jakes "Instinct" and Percilla Shirer "Discerning the voice of GOD" (Great Read/Study) What book(s) are you reading now? The book I'm currently reading or studying is more like it is "Living Beyond Yourself" by Beth Moore What books have most influenced your life? The Books that have most influenced my life are of course the Holy Bible it is a Guide I have used in every situation of my life! "Jesus Calling" Devotional by Sarah Young, "Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren and "Experiencing God" Study Book by Blackaby & King! "Discerning to Voice of God" by Percilla Shirer. Just to name a few! If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor? If I had to choose only one writer as a Mentor it would have to be Sarah Young! She is truly inspired by the True Word and Spirit! She inspires me to know that the Word of God is without a Doubt the Guide in Life Daily if we allow Him to Lead us as He promised! "I will never leave you nor forsake you I am with you even to the end of the earth!" Matthew 28:16-20 Any advice to give to aspiring writers? The advice I would give aspiring authors is to START and FINISH! No matter how challenging it is or becomes, complete your assignment! (Tell your story!) Don't allow the small things to get in the way. Familiarize yourself with social media, have your PR (Public Relations) in place, Website complete (Up and running) and become knowledgeable of your information supplying in your book! Trust GOD the whole way! Even if it seems you are failing! Stay focused on what He has for you to do! Walk in Your Blessing! Her latest book, Shades of Brown, is now available in print and ebook versions. Author Cassietta, tell us about your book?

Shades of Brown is actually a combination of interwoven short stories that have been compiled into one book. It tells the story of four women who have managed to remain friends throughout the many twists and turns their life has taken. Where we meet these women in the book, they're facing some challenges that manage to turn their lives upside down. Shades of Brown is not necessarily about the challenges, but more so about how they face those challenges. How did you come up with ideas for this book? I was at breakfast with a couple of my girlfriends here in Las Vegas, circa 2007 (there's actually an acknowledgment to them in the book) and we were sharing and talking and laughing...all the things that girlfriends do when they get together. I remember having the thought, man, I wish I could bottle this [feeling, friendship, love] and keep with me. On the drive home I thought more about our friendship and thought, how fabulous my little circle of friends was. I started to consider how we were all different we all were in terms of our lives, the things we brought to the table, our physical appearances...how we were all different "shades of brown" yet we managed to gel. I didn't use any of our specific issues for the purposes of the book, but I did use the way we handled our issues. How we shared them, prayed for each other, offered advice and council; I took all of that and Shades of Brown was born. What was the most difficult aspect of writing this book? The stories on their own came pretty naturally; what I found difficult was intertwining them and making them connect. Why do you write? Is it something you've always done, or always wanted to do? Or is it something that you started fairly recently? It's something I've always done; I can remember crafting stories as far back as middle school, but I never thought I was good enough to ever be an author. I had stacks of books in my room that I would read over and over again and I always wanted to see my name on the cover of a book that people love and want to read over and over again. I never thought it would happen so I didn't take it seriously...I even threw away my note book when someone found it in high school and made fun of it. I just picked up my pen again, so to speak, about 15 years ago while I was living in Texas. Who are your favorite authors? Oh, so many! Let's see, my absolute favorite is the late Francis Ray. She inspired me so much with her classy, classic style of writing and just her amazing story telling. I love also Jodi Picoult; I just "discovered"her a few years ago and I love her work. I also love Walter Mosley, James Patterson, Brenda Jackson, Nora Roberts, Eric Jerome Dickey. I also have a couple of Indie favorites like Dominique Wilkins, Tabitha Vinson, and Tamika Sims to name just a few. Looking at this list you can tell how eclectic my book shelf is, but I love reading almost as much as I love writing and so I read a little bit of everything. What valuable lessons do you want readers to learn from your book? The focus of this book and message behind all of the stories here is that whatever you're facing, you can get through it. It may be hard and even seem impossible, but with God all things are possible; that's the ultimate message. I learned a long time ago to take everything to God in prayer, so when I'm faced with a problem or something I'm not sure what to do with, I pray and talk to God about it. It speaks of the lessons I learned as I got on the other side of each of those experiences and pass any shame or embarrassment that was illuminated in my own mind. How did you come up with ideas for this book? It all came from me journaling for so many years and I saw writing this book as another way of journaling; only this time I allowed others to join me along the ride with more intimate details of what was in my mind, heart and soul as I journeyed through times in my life that had a significant impact What was the most difficult aspect of writing this book? I found the most difficult part of writing the book was remembering the parts that left emotional and mental scars. Going back to some experiences had me right back in the moment as though it was happening in that moment of writing about it. However once it was written down it no longer held any power. Why do you write? Writing for me has always been therapeutic. I've been writing by way of journaling thoughts for more than 15 years. And I picked up that habit once I moved out of town from my family and friends to pursue my career. Who are your favorite authors? I actually don't have a particular favorite author, however I do like books written from a spiritual, personal and professional development point of view, and some of those authors from that genre that I enjoy include, TD Jakes, Joyce Meyers, John Maxwell, and Rick Warren; also, Napoleon Hill, Jay Levinson, Steven Covey What books have most influenced your life? Besides the Bible, I would say, Battlefield of The Mind by Joyce Meyers, Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren No Matter What by Lisa Nichols, and Repositioning by TD Jakes If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor? If I had to choose, it would be TD Jakes, because I enjoy how he pulls the spiritual and real life matters together, creating a visual picture of what he talks about and how it resonates with the reader within as you apply the principles and lessons in your own life. What book are you reading now? I am currently reading Instinct: The Power to Unleash Your Inborn Drive by T.D. Jakes and I Declare: 31 Promises to Speak Over Your Life by Joel Osteen What valuable lessons do you want readers to learn from your book? The lessons I believe readers will be able to take from this book is, (1) that you don't have to stay in the place in which you have fallen, (2) that there is absolute power in forgiving and letting go of past hurts, and (3) that it's important to surround yourself with people that support you to renew within you a sense of hope Any advice to give to aspiring writers? To not give up and get organized. Write by creating some structure around it including, writing an outline of thoughts, use color note-cards of the potential topics and what points you want to write about each point, schedule your writing time and stick to it. Additionally, begin building a platform prior to finishing and launching your book; this helps to create momentum among your current and potential audience. Order Don't Look Back, Look Forward Online! AMAZON Barnes & Noble Book Review: If you have read the book, please we do encourage posting book reviews on Amazon.com and other online bookstores. Let's Get Social!
