Eminem is a "Rap God" who has performed at many of the biggest venues in the world, but in a Thursday (February 10) interview with Sway on SiriusXM's Shade45, the Detroit legend said he's feeling nervous for his big show at Super Bowl LVI. "Imma tell you, It's fucking nerve-wracking. It's fucking nerve-wracking," Em told Sway. "Like to me...there's nothing more final than live TV, you know what I'm saying? On Thursday (February 10), footage emerged online of a rehearsal at SoFi Stadium, and viewers could clearly hear 50 Cent's 2003 classic "In Da Club" playing in the background. People were quick to assume this meant Fif would be making an appearance, especially considering the mogul broke into the industry under the tutelage of Dr. Dre and Eminem. He has also worked with Snoop Dogg multiple times and he recently gave Mary a starring role as Monet in his series Power Book II: Ghost. Anticipation for the performance exploded after a cinematic trailer for the show popped up on YouTube in January. DABABY GETS BOWLING ALLEY BAN AS LAPD INVESTIGATE BRAWL WITH DANILEIGH'S BROTHER

TOPANGA, CA - DaBaby has found himself at the center of controversy once again - this time, for an alleged assault on DaniLeigh's brother. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to TMZ police are actively investigating the fight with Brandon Bills. The fight took place at Corbin Ball in Topanga, California on Wednesday night (February 9). Consequently, Corbin Ball has banned the platinum-selling rapper from ever stepping foot in their establishment again. An employee explained they came to that decision after staff reviewed security footage from the fight, which reportedly proves DaBaby was the aggressor and Bills, the victim. Law enforcement sources say they're now investigating DaBaby for assault with a deadly weapon because Bills was kicked in the head while he was already on the ground. Click here for video The fight supposedly popped off after Bills confronted DaBaby over the alleged mistreatment of his sister DaniLeigh. One of the bowling alley's mechanics said it took hours for him to scrub up the dried-up sugary drink DaBaby threw at Bills, and Corbin Ball also had to cough up $250 in cleaning chemicals as well as re-oil the lanes where the incident occurred. DaBaby and DaniLeigh's relationship has been tumultuous to say the least. Last November, the couple got into a domestic dispute in front of their three-month-old daughter that ended with DaniLeigh's arrest. She's now facing two assault charges. Rolling Stone reported police responded to two separate calls at DaBaby's home during the dispute and both times he accused the 26-year-old singer of assaulting him. Officers made their first visit on around 11:59 p.m. local time when they responded to a domestic assault call. Footage from DaniLeigh's Instagram Live broadcast showed cops arriving at DaBaby's home, but the officers left without making an arrest. Police returned to the same location the following day around 9:35 a.m. when DaBaby accused her of assault again. We must honor black scholarship. Unfortunately, there is too great a segment of our population that is distrustful, disinterested, and dismissive of works produced by our black scholars. This is an indication that we have not totally freed ourselves from the psychological implications of post-slavery mental bondage. There still lingers sub-conscious feelings of inferiority and sub-humanness that affects our worldview and how we see ourselves in comparison to European intellect and mental astuteness. John Charles Polanyi states "For scholarship - if it is to be scholarship - requires, in addition to liberty, that the truth take precedence over all sectarian interests, including self-interest. Many of our great scholars, some who have transitioned to be with the Ancestors, and many who are still living and working among us, have spent their entire lives, studying, researching, investigating, documenting and digging in the arid sands of the Motherland to uncover and present to us the truth about Our-story. Great men and women, the likes of Cheik Anta Diop, W.E.B. Dubois, Ivan Van Sertima, Yosef A.A. Ben-Jochannan, Carter G. Woodson, Francis Cress Welsing, and a host of many more - a list too voluminous to mention everyone in this writing - have made invaluable contributions to our culture with intellectually superior, verifiable, objective, honest, truthful, factual, well documented, and accurate accounts of our history, sociology, psychology, and cultural consciousness. Readers must be aware that all writings are not necessarily truthful or factual. We have long been fed with information that is biased, regurgitated untruths, and Euro-supremist agendas that are detrimental to our positive cultural self-image. Nnamdi Azikiwe states "Originality is the essence of true scholarship. Creativity is the soul of the true scholar." Too often we hear complaints that books by our black authors are too pricey and unaffordable. Ironically, dropping a thousand dollars on an Iphone or a couple hundred dollars on a pair of sneakers always seem reasonable. Martin Luther King stated "Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." Our precious scholars who have dedicated their life's work for our education and freedom deserve better from us. It is to our individual and collective advantage to support their works and learn as they continue to teach and enlighten us. These heroes of our culture have deposited the information that is necessary for us to break free from psychological enslavement and to embrace our glorious culture. The wins continue to pile up for Megan Thee Stallion. According to PageSix, the Houston Hottie is set to appear on one of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit covers in July. Megan Thee Stallion will be the first musician to grace the cover since her "Savage" collaborator Beyonc accomplished the feat in 2007. "She's the biggest star [right now], so it's a no-brainer and they love surprises," a source said. Sports Illustrated changed their approach in regards to their model selection process with the first transgender model of color and a COVID-19 nurse slated to also appear in the upcoming 2021 issue. "She's working on a new album," a separate PageSix source added. "It makes sense that she would get a huge cover like that." While Meg or SI haven't confirmed the news, fans will have to wait until the issue hits stands on July 19 to see if she's on the prestigious cover. Huncho's claim received some validation on Saturday (July 10) when former president Barack Obama revealed his official 2021 Summer Playlist and the Culture III standout made the cut. "With so many folks getting together with family and friends, there's a lot to celebrate this summer," Obama wrote. "Here's a playlist of songs I've been listening to lately-it's a mix of old and new, household names and emerging artists, and a whole lot in between." INGLEWOOD RAPPER MURDERED ON INSTAGRAM LIVE FOR ALLEGEDLY DISSING NIPSEY HUSSLE MURAL

HAWTHORNE, CA - Another rapper has reportedly been murdered in what has evolved into a consistent and disturbing trend over the past year. According to KCAL 9 News, a 21-year-old man, who has been identified as rapper Indian Red Boy (real name Zerail Dijon Rivera), was shot multiple time while he was sitting in his vehicle at the 14100 block of Chadron Avenue in Hawthorne on Thursday afternoon (July 8). The Los Angeles Police Department said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. In a graphic video making the rounds online, Indian Red Boy is talking to a friend of his on Instagram Live when a barrage of bullets ring out. Blood begins pouring from his nose as he struggles to say, "Get help." His friend shouts, "Where you at?" to which Indian Red Boy replies, "Hawthorne." He then appears to slip away. Lieutenant Ti Goetz of the Hawthorne Police Department explained to the press, "It appears to have been a walk-up shooting and he appears to have been targeted ... he appears to be a gang member." Chatter online also suggests Indian Red Boy was a member of the Bloods gang and killed for dissing a mural erected in the late Nipsey Hussle's name. Nipsey, of course, repped the Rolling 60's Crips. In a YouTube video posted in May, the Nipsey mural is defaced with red paint that reads in part, "Victory Lap HBD." Someone in the clips says it was "the second time in one week" the mural had been destroyed. Nipsey Hussle was murdered outside of his Marathon Clothing store in South Central Los Angeles on March 31, 2019. Suspected killer Eric Holder was arrested three days after the slaying and pleaded not guilty to the charges. Holder appeared in court earlier this month with a new attorney who claimed he suffered from significant mental health issues and had just lost his mother when the shooting occurred. Police are still looking for the suspects in Indian Red Boy's murder. The man who captured the Instagram Live video paid tribute to his fallen friend on Saturday (July 10). Indian Red Boy's killing marks at least the 10th rapper to be fatally shot this year. Hot Boy Ju, OG YD, DThang and Chucky Trill are among those who have lost their lives in 2021 to gun violence. EMINEM SAYS HE DROPPED $600 ON UNOPENED NAS 'ILLMATIC' CASSETTE TAPE

Eminem popped up for a rare appearance on the Clubhouse app over the weekend in support of his latest endeavor ShadyCon. Alongside longtime manager Paul Rosenberg and DJ Whoo Kid, Eminem wound up talking about his vast collection of memorabilia. "I've been collecting since I was a kid, everything from comic books to baseball cards to toys, as well as every rap album on cassette I could get my hands on," Em shared in a statement prior to the Clubhouse event. "Not much has changed for me as an adult." Once in the Clubhouse room, Eminem was asked to expound on the topic and he happily obliged, but one particular piece of memorabilia stood out - a unopened cassette tape of Nas' classic debut Illmatic, which Eminem said he bought for around $500 or $600. "I think it's backstock from what records stores had in the back storage," he explained. "The tapes that never sold and they just kept them. That's the only thing I can think of. Cause nobody's going to have a fucking Illmatic tape and not open it." Along with NFT marketplace Nifty Gateway, Eminem officially stepped into the non-fungible token (NFT) game with ShadyCon on Sunday (April 25), just a few weeks after Saturday Night Live used his song "Without Me" to try to explain what exactly they are. For Eminem's particular event, some of his original instrumental beats were up for grabs as well as Eminem comics and action figures. The virtual figurines include three different personas of the multi-platinum MC: Eminem, Marshall Mathers and Slim Shady. "I've attempted to re-create some of those collections from that time in my life and I know I'm not alone," he said.
