For whoever thought Hip-Hop was dead, Detroit's leading emcee is here to revive it. If you haven't already heard of GL Sanders, better known as STRIKE, it's only a matter of time before you do. This "Motor City" native is looking to breathe the life back into the music industry. With a role as "Lycety Split" in the Oscar winning film, "8 Mile", and exceptionally original rhymes & flow, this Detroit Lyricist/Actor is ready to make his mark.

Strike has worked with producers such as White Mike (Fire 4 Hire), Butter (Crazy Noise Productions) and new comer Big Slim, also toiling with artists Short Dawg (Russell Simmons- RSMG/So So Def) and Detroit's hit maker K-Doe a/k/a K-Deezy. The rapper and his crew the "Mountain Climbaz" released the compilation album, THE FREE WORLD (United Vision Entertainment) in 2005, which sold nearly 10,000 units independently. The album featured hit tracks such as "Celebration", a club banger paying tribute to some of Detroit's legends with its heavy-bass "gangsta groove". Other highlight tracks included, "Family Ties" featuring Miz Korona, produced by Butter, and "Hold Up" featuring Animal Chef and Platinum Artist, Method Man of the legendary Wu-Tang Clan. Other guests on the album included David Ruffin Jr. (The son of the Temptation's legend), Wesley Valentine, A1 (YNOTS), Journalist 103, Brando, Ox, Bilal, and Reggae artist Derrick Irie.

This lyrical genius has received press coverage in magazine articles with, The Source, Rime, Don Diva DVD Series Pt: 1 and SPIN, and was also included in BET's television series BEEF 4 to comment on the death of his late friend Proof (D12/Shady Records) In 2006, Strike toured the mid west with Method Man, accompanied by his disc jockey King David. Strike has recently recorded tracks with Ray-J, Big Herk and Jim Jones of Dipset, whom the rapper will be opening up for in 2007.

Currently, Strike, newly managed by Chris Trife, and signed to digital distribution label INgrooves, has teamed up with AK Productions and Shake ‘Em Down Music of New York, to produce his mix tape (due to be released in January of 07) and his untitled debut album ready to be made public in February of 2007. The rapper shares a publicist with Dipset's Juelz Santana and is looking to tour overseas again with Method Man in early 2007.

The rapper/ actor will also be making a cameo in the upcoming film, "I Wish I had a House Like This" Co-starring D-Don, Capone & Nore and Jermaine Hopkins (Lean In Me/Wayans Brothers T.V. series).
