At a time when the music universe has been saturated with cloned rappers rhyming over simulated hip-hop beats, "DA GRAND CRU" is on a mission to break the sound barrier with a unique fusion of futuristic vibe, organic flow and relatable subject matter. They have begun their journey to make contact with the next generation. "SPACED OUT ENTERTAINMENT" is the movement…"CLOUD 9" is the band.
Comprised of Manuel "R3alTalk" Paredas, Jamal "Mystery" Brooks and Shawn "Chance Amilli" Henry, "Da Grand Cru" became friends in their late teens when they discovered their common interest in making music as a means of defying the gravity of the world around them and telling their stories. Now venturing into adulthood, the team has recorded, produced and released several mixed tapes that have been widely played at popular parties throughout New York's five boroughs hosted by popular local promoters. With this level of success, they knew that it was time to turn it up a notch.
In 2009 the crew's hard work and determination was recognized by Dewry L. Bradford, CEO of ASQUI Music Group which gave them, as well as the entire Spaced Out Entertainment family, an opportunity to shine; He saw the benefit of teaming the individual rappers into a group called "Da Grand Cru". Now as "cru members", their mission prepares to launch! Follow them as they venture on their 2010 spaced-out odyssey, and beyond…

Normally we do not post stories about movies without a strong relationship to music in some way, but hey, one of the film's stars is Justin Timberlake, so enough said. The movie we are talking about is The Social Network.
This film chronicles the story behind the creation of Facebook.com and how it became the biggest social networking site in the world. It is directed by David Fincher, best known for directing the Brad Pitt films, Fight Club and The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.
Even though Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg was not involved in the making of the film, it was based on a book by Ben Mezrich called The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, A Tale of Sex, Money, Genius, and Betrayal, which lists Facebook's co-founder, Eduardo Saverin as a consultant for the book.
The film adaptation is produced by the team of Scott Rudin, Kevin Spacey, and Michael De Luca. It features an ensable cast of some stars and other lesser known actors.
