INDIANAPOLIS - A person was critically injured in a shooting in downtown Indianapolis Saturday night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 900 block of Fort Wayne Avenue around 8:13 p.m. to investigate a shooting. When police arrived at the scene, they located a person with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
Per IMPD, the victim was transported from the scene to a local hospital in critical condition. It is unclear if police have identified or detained any suspects or persons of interest at this point in their investigation of the shooting.
