1 critically injured in shooting on east side of Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS - A person was critically injured in a shooting on the east side of Indianapolis Sunday evening.




According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the 4700 block of East 19th Street around 5:38 p.m. to investigate a shooting. When police arrived at the scene, they located a victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.




IMPD has confirmed that medics transported the victim from scene to a local hospital in critical condition after the shooting.




As of this article's publication, IMPD had not provided any additional information on the circumstances that led up to the shooting or the parties that were involved in it.
