
INDIANAPOLIS - A person was critically injured in a shooting on the west side of Indianapolis Saturday night.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were called to the intersection of Chadbourne Drive and West St. Clair Street - which is located off of North Girls School Road - around 8:12 p.m. on a report of a person shot. When police arrived at the scene, they located a victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds.
IMPD confirmed that the victim is in critical condition. One of the agency's Night Watch units is responding to the scene to assist with detectives' investigation.
Police also reported that they detained a person of interest during their investigation.
